Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-21-2016 For anyone that wants to go out and fish the local tuna outside San Diego that has been biting consistently we have a day and a half trip leaving on Sunday at 6 PM fishing Monday and coming back Tuesday morning at 6 AM. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, a good broken record, we had another great day of Wahoo fishing! It didn't stop there from dark on we had a great nighttime bite on Quality yellowtail, absolutely a beautiful grade. Talk about burning the candle at both ends of the stick! You guys leaving on the Ahi charter on the 22nd make sure you have plenty of the medium-size marauders in your tackle box. Not every day but some days the sharks are really really bad eating marauders and the Wahoo on the marauders. Anybody wanting to get in on some of the best action I've ever seen on these eight and 10 day trips we have openings on our limited load 10 day trip on November 22. Happy independence day! guys! We finished our day yesterday by continuing to pick away at those larger size yellowtail. Almost all of our anglers ended up with at least one yellowtail and we even had a hand-full of anglers who managed to catch their limit of those larger sized fish. As I'm writing this report, I am seeing quite a few small schools of yellows on the sonar. We are eager to find out what today has in stock for us! Happy Independence Day, Team Supreme

8 Bluefin and 3 Bonito today for our group. The big one weighed in at 215 pounds gill and gutted (probably 240lbs) The fish was caught on a flatfall and 100 pound test.

~~Oct. 11
 And here's what we did today.  The crew rigged up mucho tackle.  I'm talking the grande stuff for the grande fish.  After that and after breakfast we did our tuna seminar and I talked Tommy into doing a couple parts of the seminar.  All I know for the past 10 years is my tuna seminar.  It's nice to get a different perspective.  Anyways, after that we were finishing up tackle rigging when poof, all three trollers went off.  So we caught a couple meals.  3 nice dorado.  So then it was lunch time of street tacos.  And then some napping went down and the afternoon movie was Caddy Shack.  When 5:00 rolls around it's cocktail hour and it looks glorious.  Drinks, cigars, and friends.  Then we had baby back ribs for dinner.  Once again like the first 2 nights we tried for some giant squid to use as bait, but we were unsuccessful. 

 Still no storms brewing up down below and we're getting more and more confident we won't be getting pushed out of the fishing grounds until we say so.  2 more days of travel before we arrive.  Everyone is enjoying themselves now because in a couple days, it's going to be war.  We'll be battling it out with 200+ pound tuna and wahoo.
      

July 15
  Howdy folks.  Arrive depart day today so I don't have any juicy fish stories for you.  We made it dockside by 5:30 in the am.  We had a lovely time of off loading a beautiful catch of yellowtails, then an even better time of fueling the vessel.  When we got back to our slip I was surprised to see my mother who just happened to bring my lovely daughter down to see me.  I didn't know she was coming and did not expect to get to see my Sydney so that just made my day.  But we're out fishing now so it's all business.

  Things went great at the bait receivers.  We topped off on some good looking sardine and we're looking to put them to good use tomorrow.  We have a report from one of our code boats fishing on the grounds we fished last trip offshore wise and it sounds interesting.  A better grade of fish moved in today and we're going to investigate it tomorrow. 

  Everyone on board is just relaxing now or stuffing there face with prime rib.  I'm about to join them.  Mark's trying to diet and it's hilarious.  I've never seen him  give  the slightest about what goes in his stomach and he's going crazy with hunger.  He's a big boy and he's' having chicken fried steak withdrawal.  See you tomorrow.  Hopefully our timing is right on tomorrow and we get some of that action on those better tunas.
           

Hello Supreme Fans, We started our morning off at one of the lower banks. Having talked to one of our code group boats that had fair fishing on bigger grade tuna. At first light we started to catch skipjack tuna and a few grouper. By mid morning we pulled the pick and started to go look around for that boomer school, and we found one! but it was not to be for us as the school didn't want nothing to do with us. After lunch we dropped the anchor and started to get some school size tuna to bite. We stuck it out there for the rest of the day and it paid off Tom Studley hooking and landing a 110 pounder. Just before dinner we pulled the anchor and headed for the bait grounds to restock our bait supply. Wish us luck. The Supreme Team.

Fished for a couple of hours this morning with no signs of larger grade tuna so we left and will be fishing in a different spot tomorrow. Had a Oriental noodle salad this afternoon that was out of this world. Really good. Our weather continues to be in the beautiful category and we are all enjoying that. Wish us luck for some of those bigger fish. We'll check in tomorrow.

POLARIS SUPREME TRIP REPORT 09-12-2020 We departed today on Bill Stephens annual 8 day charter. We got a nice early start with some OK looking bait. after seeing the great trip Alec had with the Simpatico charter we will be heading south for the trip. Weather rolling down is great.
