 We are implementing a new satellite buoy tracking system to better assist us with re finding productive kelp patties and other floating debris that may hold fish!

 We have traveled all day today doing the usual rigging and eating! We really don't have a whole lot to report. We will be fishing first thing tomorrow morning and looking forward to dinner a good night sleep and waking up to a good weather and great fishing tomorrow. Wish us luck.

Jodie called in with this report for the Apollo. "We have an Open Party 2 Day Trip for July 4th & 5th. We will be leaving from Fisherman's Landing on July 3rd at 10:00 0'clock. We will be targeting Bluefin Tuna. They are starting to bite at 125 miles. If you'd like more information or want to make a reservation 619-221-8500."

 Holy moly was it hot and humid today.  Starting today early the sweat was on.  My mom brought the little one down and the poor little girl was sweating worse than me.  She probably doesn't care though.    We left on our annual Bogart 2 day trip.  So we fished a little this afternoon and we'll fish tomorrow.  We got a couple tanks of anchovy today with just a few sardine mixed in.  We have a bit of mackerel left over that we'll use.  We fished for yellows this afternoon.  We reached the honey hole at 4:00.  Of course conditions did a complete 180.  Current wise.  The water was still blue and warm but the current was opposite to what the yellers have enjoyed here as of late.  So we saw no sign of yellowtail.  After a couple anchor jobs we gave up on them and anchored in tight to the kelp and we caught some assorted rockfish and bass and such.  Now we're headed out to who knows where.  I have a couple places in mind.  I'm going to wait and here the evening reports from the other boats before deciding.

 There is a few things as of late I wanted to tell y'all about that I forgot to.  I finally saw the green flash!  Kind of cool I guess.  I wasn't looking for it this time.  Maybe that's the ticket.  I just happened to look over and poof, the sun turned green for a flash.  The lightening show the other night was amazing.  Especially the part I missed while I was in bed sleeping.  And we saw a wave cloud I think.  I think it was a wave cloud.  It looked like a wave rolling through.  Or a side ways tornado.  There was 0 wind, and all the sudden that thing came through and it got super windy but just for 30 seconds or less and then it was gone and the wind went back to 0.  Pretty cool I thought.  Done.
     

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 07-12-2016 #2 Hello anglers good afternoon we ended up going offshore hunting kelp patties down with pretty good success we had 32 mix fish yellowfin tuna nice size yellowtail and Dorado. Overall a very successful afternoon and a successful day. The weathers great were rolling up the line and will be in the dock tomorrow morning bright and early. We would like to thank All the Guy's, Billy Stephens and all the Emerson group for coming out and joining us fishing on what was a fun fun five day and a fantastic group of guys. Hello everyone, The past couple days have been tough out here. We managed to land some nice school sized tuna yesterday but not nearly the numbers we were looking for. Today we tagged some Grouper and a nice Dorado. However the highlight was defiantly the groups of Striped Marlin we found in the afternoon. They were high and dry with Frigate birds putting on quite a show above them. Not our targeted species on these trips but defiantly a nice reason to stop the boat and fight a couple. The areal show is always quite impressive. With the marlin in our wake we now have our sights set on trophy tuna tomorrow. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

22 yellowfin 3 bluefin(2 over 100lbs). Always a good idea to have a rod to fish 40-60lb line, never know what we might encounter.

Hello Everyone, Today was a great day. Yellowfin to start the morning and Yellowtail and Grouper during the day. We did not catch a whole lot of Grouper but the ones we caught were big one. We cannot wait to weigh them at the dock. We will be working up the line tonight in search of Yellowtail tomorrow. Wish us luck, Team Supreme Pictured here is Jim with a nice Dorado in the dark.
