went to jekyll pier with my buddies, thunderstorm warnings but we went anyway, haha! caught several small snapper, all under size but still fun to hook em! just chilling by the pier, enjoying the vibe before the rain hit!
cloudy skies but the fish were biting! caught a few nice whiting, about 2lbs each. i was using cut bait, and had a few nibbles from something bigger but couldn't land em. overall, not bad for a cloudy day!
hit the pier again, just a bit of rain in the morning. caught a bunch of smaller flounders, nothing too big but it was fun. used a jig and kept it moving. even saw some dolphins swim by, what a sight! love jekyll island.
oh man, what a sunny day at the pier! hooked a big ol' 7 lb sheepshead, couldn’t believe it! used fiddler crabs, they just can’t resist em. perfect weather, couldn't ask for a better day to fish. made lots of new friends too!
was at jekyll pier in the rain today but it was okay! got soaked but got some good catches, mostly small black drum. used my trusty old spinning reel, it's my favorite! feeling lucky despite the weather, it’s always nice to be out on the water.
