isle of palms Fishing Report 2024

Captain Mike Pritchard checked in at 8:15 AM with an audio update from the Tribute out of Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA. We have been drifting since 6:30. We have 8 or 9 hanging right now. We have had a bunch of casualties due to old line or locked up drags. We have had some quality action so far today. Our next trip is a light load. Come on out fishing with us for trophy Bluefin Tuna.

Today we went out with 28 passengers and caught 6 lingcod 74 red rock cod and full Mexican limits of rockfish. Our rockfish were a nice mix of Boccaccio , bank perch , chuckle heads and whitefish. We looked around a little bit for yellowtail but unfortunately we never found a school. We are scheduled to fish everyday. Make reservations at 619-224-3383 if you would like to join us. -capt. Ryan

Fishing was not wide open today. The guys topped off with the yellowtail for the trip. They also had good fishing on the dorado on a couple of different kelp patties. Our weather continues to be great. As we travel home to make our 6:00am arrival tomorrow we will be dining on Pedro's exquisite prime rib dinner. Come see us at the dock or better yet book a trip and come out with us. Tomorrow we'll be heading out on Tom Chaparro's annual 5 day, 18 passenger, lite load charter. We departed nice and early on Paul Hess's annual 5-day charter. Every year Paul puts together a great group of guys. Most are always repeat customers, but I saw one or two new faces this year.

Everyone is anxious to get out there and get their lines wet. The prospects look good for albacore, yellowtail and yellow fin. Our weather is good for the start and lets hope it stays nice. Thanks for checking in!

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-17-2016 Hello Supreme Fans, We started off our day fishing looking for yellowtail. It didn't take long for the first one to come aboard, But it was short lived so we pulled the pick and made a 6 hour move which proved to be a good one! As the boat settled back on the anchor, We had several bent rods and the yellowtail charging the boat. The rest of the day we had steady yellowtail fishing until first call for dinner . During dinner we got the word that the yellowfin tuna were on the chew, and now we our on the hunt for them! The Supreme Team

Polaris Supreme Update 08-03-2012

Hi Anglers

Today started off bad for the first half. We just couldn't get it right . Then around mid day we found the school we where looking for. What were we looking for and found you might ask? Strait 33 t0 45 pound Yellowfin Tuna. What a beautiful grade of fish, thats all you heard captains on the radio saying all afternoon. We ended up having a great day. The main thing that frustrated us this morning was 4 out of the 8 long range guys put together a great morning on nice grade yellowtail. One of the guys even drifted all day on yellows and tuna. Now don't get me wrong I am really happy for him but I want to be that guy. Maybe tomorrow. We are experiencing great weather and hoping for more of that also. Mom, Taylor is having the time of her life so not to worry she is being spoiled. Thanks for tuning in Tommy.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in with an update from The San Diego. We had 144 Yellowfin Tuna and 70 Dorado! The fish were not full speed. It was a pick all day.
