Report #1
π€ Mike H.headed out to Des Moines this morning, right after sunrise at around 5:50. weather was a bit iffy with thundery clouds brewing but I thought why not? got my trusty spinning rod and some jigs. spent a couple hrs at the usual spot by the reeds. after a slow start, I finally hooked a nice crappie, about 12 inches! felt super good to pull that one in. then I switched to a topwater frog and BOOM! got a fat bass, probably 4lbs! it was thrilling! had to pack it in 'cause the dark clouds rolled in around noon but overall, a solid morning. can't wait to head back, hopefully it won't rain next time!
