July 24
  Well, we didn't really connect on the tuna today.  Darn.  I really thought it was going to happen too.  Oh well.  That's all we can say.  Oh well.  We gave it our best shot until around 2:00 this afternoon and then we had to call it.  There is another trip leaving tomorrow so we have to go home.  We caught a bunch of litluns today and some nice yellows on kelps but we didn't find our 100 fish stop on the 15-22 pound tuna.

  World class yellowtail fishing this trip for some world class folks and I mean that.  Even if they are Giants fans.  We have a busy day tomorrow.  There's a lot to get done prior to take off including the official weigh in.

  That's right folks.  You heard it here first.  Justin vs. Mark. October 1stish.  He who loses the most weight gets crowned Polaris Supreme's first ever Biggest Loser!  I'm so excited!

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 10-01 to 2-2019 Yesterday we finished for yellowtail up the coast until mid day in absolutely beautiful weather with not much luck on the fishing and of it. Water temperature has dropped about 5° from what it was. Today we're just traveling up the line to San Diego again in beautiful weather which we paid for on our four days of fishing down south. Will be arriving tomorrow into San Diego and Alec will be heading out on a seven-day trip. Hopefully we will have paid enough this trip for good weather all next trip for him! Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-17-2016 We got out today bright and early without a hitch and are rolling down south for eight days of we hope will be spectacular sportfishing! The group today is an open group of "The Usual Suspects" that takes this annual voyage south with us each year. Our bait looks just okay so far? Our weather is fantastic. We have gotten a full day in of eating, sleeping and rigging.Tune in here tomorrow and we will have an update on our travel down day. The Polaris supreme crew P.S. We have just put a 1 1/2 day trip online for next weekend. It will be leaving Sunday night at 6 PM and returning Tuesday morning at 6 AM. WOW!! What an incredible day!!! This albacore is in the cooler 76 degree water. It wants to bite wide open. Can't say enough about how much fun today was catching big fat jumbo albacore. They tired our anglers out. By the end of the day only a few were still standing. Chef Pedro fixed a spicy teriyaki albacore lunch that was fantastic. For dinner he served some delicious veal chops. Today was just a great. this is what albacore fishing is supposed to be like.

Hello everyone, Today was spent prospecting a new area offshore. We were hoping for Tuna, larger Dorado, and Wahoo. Around lunch time we found a large group of Beaked Whales, pretty amazing site seeing the group breaching and swimming close to the boat. Later in the day we did manage to find a dead Pygmy Sperm Whale with a huge Mako shark feeding on it. When we got close it was filled with tons of Dorado. There were a few stand outs that were much larger than the rest, but the majority were similar size as yesterday. We will be trying for Yellowtail tomorrow. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

 Remember yesterday when I said we would find our dorado kelp?  Well we conquered that quest.  I tell no lies.  An hour or so after breakfast, maybe 2, we found a kelp loaded and we went to battle and overall I think we won.  I mean we caught exactly what we wanted.  Beautiful mahi mahi.  After that we went back to travel mode and we'll be arriving to our slip in San Diego tomorrow at 0800 hours.  We ate some of that mahi for dinner tonight while we watched a slide show of all the pictures taken this trip presented to us by Tommy.  Everyone misses there wives and they all told me, "Drew, I couldn't spend another minute without my wife".  That's why this trip was 15 days.  It's the maximum amount of time we can spend without our wives.

 So we tie up tomorrow and that's the way we'll stay until November 9th, when we'll be departing on a 10 day trip.  So until then, I'd just like to say how much I'll miss writing to you all.  Stay classy and thanks for stopping by, but mostly, stay classy.
         

Today we we picked at the quality Tuna we have been after. Many successes before the sharks took their share. The fish were on both live bait and chunk bait. It was nice catching them on the chunk because we were able to use big hooks and heavy line. As opposed to small hooks and light line.

Pictured here is a neat looking Pilot Fish. Really cool looking blue fish with black stripes. They hang out with sharks waiting for bits and pieces from a kill to float back to them. Also pictured is a delicious sashimi spread prepared by chef Mike!
