The San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego,CA checked in with us today:

4 yellowtail and plenty of rockfish. We saw a couple nice schools of yellowtail. They act like cold water fish !

RECENT NEWS!!! I WILL BE PUTTING SOME MORE OPEN PARTY TRIPS ON THE APOLLO. These trips will be limited to only 20 people. Can you imagine a boat like the Apollo with only 20 people or less every day. I will be running Saturday and Sunday the 10th and 11th. I'll be fishing the northern Channel Islands for rock fish, lingcod and potentially Sea Bass and Halibut. We have a 2-day trip coming up and need some people to help fill it. This could be a great opportunity to get in on some sea bass action. There were already a few 40# sea bass caught at the channel islands last weekend Here is the info for the trip. I hope to see you there.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in from the Coronado Islands at 1 PM to report LIMITS of Yellowtail. We have a light load of 12 anglers catch 60 Yellowtail. We are seeing really nice schools. Call Seaforth Landing at (619) 224-3383 to get in on the action.

Hello Everyone, We had a nice day of travel today. Mainly rigged up and took care of some chores. The guys were able to wet a line once today on a single kelp. There was a lot of Dorado on the kelp but none wanted to bite. However we did land a nice Yellowtail. We will be on the hunt for more Yellows in the morning. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Capt Matt and the boys are engaged with a school of bluefin. They currently have 7 on deck and few more hanging. The fish they have landed so far are 25-35 lbs. I’m sure the big boys are watching and waiting for their opportunity to bite someone’s light line. Come prepared with a 25 lb setup a 40 lb setup and a setup capable of landing a fish over 100 lbs. the variety of available fish sizes creates a bit of a pickle but trust me when I tell you. You want to use heavier than needed equipment rather than the opposite.

Stopping a school of tuna that is swimming at 8 kts often requires a lot of chum. Thanks to the best bait company in the business @everinghambaitbarge we managed to get a few schools to hang out with us for awhile. 42 bluefin 18 yellowtail.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-22-2016 Good evening. Today was spent offshore all day. It didn't take log to start seeing sign right after day break. Everything certainly looked promising. Many many spots of both bluefin and yellowfin tuna just about everywhere we looked. These things just seemed to have a case of lock jaw. We threw everything except the kitchen sink at them, but just couldn't them to bite let alone stick with the boat. We have high hopes for a great closing day tomorrow. The fish is around, just a matter of finding the right one to shut down on. We'll check back in tomorrow for our final trip report. Tight lines, Team Supreme
