glendale lake Fishing Report 2025

Captain Ryan Bostian called in from the San Diego tonight with an update. We had 16 LIMITS of Yellowtail (80). Most of the fish were caught on YoYo Jig but we did catch fish on the surface iron and using bait. The San Diego will be fishing the Coronado Islands for Yellowtail daily. 2 days of searching was rewarded with a bottom of the 9th rally on good grade yellowtail. Flylined sardines on 25 lb is the most productive right now.

The fishing out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego is already great and is ready to explode as water conditions improve and temperatures increase. The new Seaforth Landing buildings and parking lot are almost ready to roll and things are looking really good!!! Congratulations to everyone at Seaforth !! Great Job !!! I was lucky enough to fish with Captains Bob Williams and Bryan Winn for a 3/4 day trip aboard the Seawatch to the beautiful Coronado Islands. We limited out on 3-6 pound bonito by 10am in wide open fishing not far off the coast. Captains Bob and Bryan than steered us to the Coronado Island for a shot at some big island yellowtail. Not long after dropping anchor yours truly hooked and landed a nice yellow on a dropped looped chovy. Way to go Kidd !! We hooked a bunch of yellows on sardines, anchovies and iron, landing some and loosing others to reel screaming runs to the rocks. The highlight came when young Chris "Don't call me Littleman anymore" Robinson hooked, battled and landed a nice 20 lb Coronado Island Yellowtail. Awesome job Chris !!! We ended the day with 10 nice yellows from 13- 28 lbs led by Mark Nahabedians' 28 pounder that he nailed on Salas blue and white iron. Captains Bob, Bryan and crew did an awesome kob putting us on the fish. We were the high count boat out of all the 3/4 day boats fishing the Islands. Great Job Guys !!! Supreme Update

There has been excellent bluefin fishing at 120 to 150 miles the last few days! In response the POLARIS SUPREME is putting the follow two day trips on line to specifically target these fish in this area as well as the yellowtail on the kelp patties in that zone.

We had a nice afternoon hooking fish landing was okay lot of tackle failures
and losses to the sharks! But we still managed to put a nice afternoon
together. It's absolutely a beautiful grade of fish! Most of the anglers
hooked for five of these fish! We are having to fish the 30 and 40 lb. test
to get a bite here. Not ideal for getting the larger Tuna away from the
sharks. Hopefully they bite heaver line tomorrow!
 

Polaris Supreme update  10-4-12  14:00 hours

Hey Anglers,

Richie and the gang got out at 18:00 hours last evening and neglected to put out a report. But I can tell you I talked to him at 12:00 hours today and he was very disgruntled with only jig strikes to be had so far. I talked to him later on at 14:01 hours and he was doing back flips with over 100 bluefin in a wide open bite and they were still biting. They have great weather and I'm sure Richie will have a report for you by the end of the day or tomorrow morning when they arrive at 06:00 hours. Our next 1.5 day trip is full but we do still have openings on the 6-day departing this Sunday, October 7th.

Hello Everyone, We had a great day of fishing today. We were able to slide on a nice Bluefin Tuna Breezer and pick from noon till dark. The Tuna were all 30-35lb average, great size fish. We are hoping for similar fishing tomorrow. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme
