From Brook Trout to Big Yellowtail! Siblings Tom and Mary Chaparro have been fishing buddies since the early days. They started out catching Brook and Golden Trout in the mountains when they were kids, now catching Yellowfin Tuna and Yellowtail on Toms annual 7 day trip. Keep it up you two! A tad bit breezy today, but still plenty comfortable. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Good morning everyone, Today we had a great day full of biting Yellowfin Tuna. It was not wide open but we were able to pick at them for a few hours. There were some nice Yellowtail and Bluefin mixed in as well. We will be looking for kelps tomorrow, Team Supreme

From 8:00 am till 4:00 pm we were either stopped on bluefin or driving towards jumping bluefin. When we pumped out the RSW we had 17 bluefin and 2 yellowtail. Flylined sardines on 25-40 lb with a size 2-2/0 bait hook was the top producer.

36 passengers on todays adventure with a catch of  43 yellowtail and 53 bonito. We had a couple of short opportunities today.

Yesterday we had good fishing on wahoo in the morning and excellent fishing on tuna in the afternoon. The average weight on the tuna ranged from 45-70 lbs. Our weather is still good. Chef Tommy put out some great meals again. Lunch yesterday was yellowtail served over fresh spinach, surrounded by black beans with a spicy avocado cilantro sauce. And dinner was cornish game hens topped with a spicy apricot sauce on wild rice with grilled asparagus on the side. Fishing this morning has started off again with wahoo biting and this afternoon we will fish the tuna again. 21 pass. 88 yellowtail 2 bonito. Tomorrow’s trip has been cancelled due to weather. Wind is forecasted till Wednesday. Nice weather starts on Thursday.

Polaris Supreme Trip Reports 08-03-2016 Today's trip has us departing on Henry Hampton's four-day trip. This is Henry's second year chartering the boat and it looks like he has quite a few new anglers. One thing about them looks the same though there are excited to get out and get at some good quality fishing. So off we go! We left the bait receivers with some of the most ratty bait that we've seen all year. Luckily we have a good supply in our center slammer that we have been rat holing for a few trips now. Departing this afternoon judging our options we have decided to try a little something different there is some new good-looking water and signs of yellows in a new area. As always happens the old areas are drying up fast. We have good weather today and a forecast of good weather tomorrow wish us luck. The Polaris Supreme crew!

We departed nice and early on Paul Hess's annual 5-day charter. Every year Paul puts together a great group of guys. Most are always repeat customers, but I saw one or two new faces this year.

Everyone is anxious to get out there and get their lines wet. The prospects look good for albacore, yellowtail and yellow fin. Our weather is good for the start and lets hope it stays nice. Thanks for checking in!
