man, what a wet day! we decided to brave the rain in freeport today, and honestly it was kinda a mixed bag. caught a nice redfish, about 4lbs, on a topwater plug just after sunrise. then it started pouring! i had my rain gear on but still got soaked. we pushed through though, hoping the bad weather would make the fish bite more. ended up with a couple of trout too, all around 2-3lbs. my buddy josh lost a big one right at the boat, that was a heartbreaker. overall, not too bad for a rainy day. can’t wait to go again when it’s sunny! 🎣🌧️
