Scripps Ranch Old Pros charter. 42 anglers killed 400 beers, 3 yellowtail, 26 bonito, lots of shallow water rockfish. ‘‘Tis the season for mixed bag fishing and binge drinking in beautiful weather.

Well we wound up the last day of fishing with some good offshore action on kelp patties. Everybody pulled on a lot of fish and kept 2 or 3 nice quality yellowtail and dorado to take home. Weather is absolutely superb. And so was our final dinner, steak and lobster. We'd like to thank Eric Rogger and his group for such a fun trip. Polaris Supreme Trip Report 07-31-2016 We were all over the place yesterday we started off in the morning fishing yellowtail at one island with massive spots of bait and birds that were sitting on the water doing nothing with no signs of yellowtail. That didn't last long before we moved to another island for similar results basically no catching. After that we took off offshore and had a little bit of success on kelp's with Dorado and Yellowtail and that wound up our day! Throughout the day of we obviously had in mind catching yellowtail at one of the locations we frequented but in the back of our mind was our destination for tomorrow the local yellowtail kelp patty fishing grounds where the guys are just sleighing them! We got some beautiful weather and will be there tomorrow wish us luck. The Polaris supreme crew

Capt Mike Pritchard from the Tribute called in an early morning report on behalf of Jay Kinsley making his maiden voyage and they are off to a great start. They have over 50 mixed tuna by 8:30am on board and some hanging and was very busy and could not talk long. Hi friends. Tough day out here on the Bluefin grounds for us. We saw a whole lot of fish today but we only had a couple of drifts that produced numbers for us. We had a respectable day but with the volume of fish we saw this afternoon, we were really hoping for a banner day but it never happened. The weather was beautiful once again so we're pumped about that but we were really hoping for another drift like we had yesterday. Anyhow, that's fishing and we're currently enjoying a southeasterly course to our next destination.

For tomorrows agenda, we'll be looking for bait and Yellowtail. It's time for a change of pace and we're hoping to get bent on some yella and some carnada manana. The gang is doing just fine and they're all having just a splendid time. It's dinner time and I have no idea what we're having. Some type of stuffed pork chop in a puff pastry or something. Chef Shawn, he's crazy. We'll chat with you tomorrow.

Myself and the crew would like to thank @relentlessboat for making our groups first fishing trip a success. Many large schools of yellowfin were passed around the fleet.
