Polaris Supreme Trip Update 11-26-2019 We spent the day looking for Wahoo mostly, but ended up with only a handful. We had absolutely phenomenal Marlon fishing and some pretty fair Dorado fishing throughout the day. The Wahoo has definitely eluded us this trip. Another day of absolutely beautiful weather good food and hanging out with a bunch of good friends. I just noticed that the last two days we only had pictures of Rudy and John. Neither one have been fishing before so there definitely get the lions share of attention as far as photos. Today we mix it up with some of the other guys who have been hanging in the background. We're going to spend tomorrow heading up the line toward San Diego to try to be the Thanksgiving storm or at least part of it. We will definitely be in a day early and all of you leaving on the seven-day on the 30th be down there bright and early at 5 AM. We will be fueled loaded with groceries and ready to rock 'n roll right away. The Polaris Supreme Crew

Captain JJ has been catching fish and having fun. For the next week he is chartered up but he does have a trip for April 10th.

July 29

We had a descent morning and a descent evening. It was the in between part that stunk for us. From about 9 till 5 we caught and saw nothing. But in the morning it was steady stopping and after 5 we drifted catching fish until after dark so all in all I'd call it a good day. The fish were yellowfin tunas and we're still pulling on one as I write this and that's all I have to say about that. We're going to run up into American waters tonight and try for the Bluefins and the yellowfins tomorrow for our last day of this trip.

Brynn, Brynn, Brynn. Yes you. You sweet little 17 month old you. Your daddy says hi and he misses you and he loves you very much. I know you can read this. I have a sister in law named Brenna. Close enough.

July 27
    Todays saying for the fleet fishing with us was "you should of been here yesterday".  We fished in yesterdays hot yellowfin zone and it pretty much stunk.  It was one of those mornings when you wake up to find 30 boats in one little area and an hour or two later you don't see another boat because we all panic and split up to find where the fish swam off to because they're sure not here.  We had one kelp in the morning that had a good amount of tuna on it but it didn't bite well.  We were getting them one at a time for a little bit before it quit.  After that we didn't catch another tuna until after 5 PM.  We found a little stretch of water there that kept our interest up.  We started getting jig strikes. We found a kelp where we caught a nice little bit of tuna on and found an area of breaking fish that wouldn't bite.  We were stopping the boat until dark.  

    The weather was great today.  We're going to head down and fish the coast for yellowtails tomorrow.

A few quick opportunities on the yoyo jigs produced 31 yellowtail. Tomorrow’s trip has been cancelled due to weather. Friday March 26 is our next trip.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-13-2016 We had another fun day today! Today was a little different though most of the fun was catching fish not traveling. We had very good yellowtail fishing all day, we started off right at the crack of dawn with flurry fishing which progressed into a wide-open bite for several hours and then flurry fishing again! After a midday low it all started up again through the rest of the day. We were catching fish mostly on bait. Fly lighting was number one with dropper loop fishing coming in a close second. We didn't have a lot of jig fish but that probably was contributed to the fact that we didn't have anyone fishing jigs most of the time. Weather is excellent and were hoping to do this again tomorrow. Thanks for tuning in the Polaris Supreme Team!

Hello everyone, Today we are making our way down to the promise land. We are spending the day taking care of some boat chores and rigging up. We are getting anxious to wet a line tomorrow! The weather is great and we are traveling smoothly. Cannot wait for tomorrow! On a side note we would like to wish our charter master Mark Costello a happy birthday today! Well Friday the 13th is starting out to be a great day for us. We have flat calm beautiful weather and are pulling in lots of nice big yellowtails. 40 pounders! There are also a lot of marlin all around us. Everyone is having a great time. We were treated to an awesome dinner last night of rack of lamb with a Bordeaux reduction sauce. Our new chef, also named Tommy has been wowing us with his culinary delights. He also made a lobster bisque that was simply the best. Well I have to get back on deck. There is still a couple spots open on July 28th and August 2 has one spot. We'll call in tomorrow.
