 There really isn't much to report today.. We didn't fish.  We traveled all day.  We chose to fish later last night in the windless lee of Cedros catching yellows, tuna, and seabass instead of going offshore in the wind/swell and most likely catching nothing or small tuna.  I think we made the right choice.  We had a bit of a bumpy ride last night, or so I'm told.  As usual I slept through it.  We were almost to the coast when I woke up for my watch, so things were a lot smoother.  So today we slept in and had a late breakfast of biscuits and gravy.  The crew got our scrub on while the customers read, hung out and played poker.  After lunch, on cue, most of the boat took a nice nap.  Now dinner is at it's end and my watch is almost over and I'm ready for bed.

 We'll be arriving tomorrow at 6:00 in the morning.  We should have a fairly quick turn around and we'll be back out again, this time for 4.  I'll be taking her out and I'm not sure where we'll go yet.  Fishing right now is at that stage where things need to and will change very soon.  We just hope we're in the right place when they do.
       

Stumbled upon a couple of biting schools and enjoyed some semi controlled chaos. 2 bluefin tuna 152 yellowfin tuna. 30 lb flyline bait was perfect again today.

Captain Ryan Bostian just called in with an update from The San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we had 33 Yellowtail (18 to 31 pounds) for 48 anglers. They fish were biting good in the morning on YoYo Iron. Then in the afternoon the surface action picked up. We are seeing lots of fish and things are looking good for the Coronado Islands. Hello everyone Today and last night was another variety packed fishing adventure riddled with hardships and triumphs. During the night we had a little window of bottom dweller action. There were some nice hook ups, but even more tragic losses. Yellowtail in the rocks and eaten alive by sharks. We did however manage to get a nice grouper passed the obstacles of the deep. Unfortunately most never made it up. The surface action was great. We were able to catch some nice Wahoo, Striped Marlin, and Dorado. Today and the days previous were filled with the most outstanding Marlin fishing we are likely to see in our lifetime. If anyone was lacking a Striped Marlin on their fish list we were able to check that off their list, whether they wanted to or not. Although not targeted on these trips, these marlin are great fun and had some trophy Wahoo mixed in with them. Another action packed day here on the Pacific! Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

The San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego,CA checked in with us today:

33 pass. 23 yellowtail 75 rockfish. Today we saw more yellowtail than we did on Sunday. Unfortunately we also saw acres of bait in the same zone. A couple of brief opportunities is all they would give up today. We will check back tomorrow.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-23 and 24-2016 We don't have much to report for the last two days just travel days with a tad bit of fishing. We caught one halibut, we had great weather, we ate a bunch of good food, took a bunch of naps, broke down our tackle, and tomorrow morning we're going to be into San Diego at 730 and unload a beautiful catch of Wahoo yellowtail and yellowfin tuna! Thanks for tuning in this trip we will be leaving tomorrow afternoon at 6 PM on a 1 1/2 day trip fishing on Monday. Hi friends. Well, the morning bait/Yellowtail bite didn't quite pan out this morning so we decided to get our butts offshore and try to connect with some open water species. We managed to find a bunch of kelps and we had some action on some Yellowtails that way but we never located a school of Bluefin that wanted to bite. We did see a few schools of BFT as did the other boats in the area but they were reluctant to bite for any of us. Hopefully, tomorrow is a new day and these things will get with the program.

We'll be giving this a half a day or so tomorrow to see if we can't do some damage on the BFT tomorrow before we have to book it for home. Our weather was absolutely flat calm all day with a heavy overcast but the sea and wind conditions were stellar. We've got a little rain washing the boat as of right now (23:42 hours) and a few brave souls are downstairs trying for some squid. I'd better go see what they're up to.
