hey folks! so we hit emerald isle today despite the heavy rain, what a wild day! started around 7am and the water was a mess but we snagged some decent trout. used my favorite popping cork setup with live shrimp - they couldn't resist! between the rain showers, we pulled a few nice ones. biggest was around 4 lbs. i swear they were biting like crazy but had to dodge the lightning too 😅. ended up soaking wet but it was sooo worth it. can’t wait to grill these bad boys later. tight lines everyone! ✌️
