duck key Fishing Report 2025

Captain Mike Pritchard called in this evening with an update from the Tribute. Today we had limits of Lingcod with many of them over 20 pounds. The jackpot fish should be around 30 pounds. We also had limits of rockfish including some very nice reds. We did catch some nice whitefish too.The Tribute is running 1.5 day trips to Colonett every weekend departing on Friday nights. Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-24-2016 As reported yesterday it was a very tough day fishing. We spent the whole day stopping on spot after spot after spot. It got to a point where I thought maybe the passengers didn't think we were really seen fish. One of the things we noticed was where the yellowfin tuna was hanging out, even though it didn't bite It Turns out it was good Intel for today. It did pay off this morning, we ended up shutting down right at daylight on a really nice school that stuck with this until after lunchtime. The grade of fish was 35 to 80 pounds. We hung with it for about another two hours and it just wouldn't bite. After about three hours of searching we finally found where the fish had moved to while we were drifting all morning. We were rewarded with another afternoon bite equal to what we caught in the morning we ended up with a fantastic day of quality, I say quality yellowfin tuna. We also had in the mix by half a dozen nice grade bluefin tuna. We are heading in and going to drop off our Joe Beck charter and pick up Beverly and her group. 39 pass. 195 skipjack tuna, and 2 yellowtail. Very good action in very good weather.

Nice mixed bag of yellowtail ,barracuda and kelp bass for our 27 anglers today.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in this evening.  The audio was broken up but wait for it.  They had 61 Yellowtail and a good pick on Calicos.  The load is light tomorrow and very light this coming week.

Captain Mike Pritchard checked in tonight with a final wrap-up from the Tribute’s offshore trip today.  We had 9 anglers and caught 17 Bluefin Tuna (one shy of limits), 1 Yellowfin Tuna and a Yellowtail.  We had flat calm weather.  We are back at it tonight.  Come on out and go fishing on the Tribute.
