35 pass. 140 yellowtail 33 bonito. I know some of you are wondering why we have fish in burlap bags. At the end of the trip we take our fish out of the fishhold and put them in bags so our customers don’t have to carry their fish home in their backpacks. Their core temps are 35 degrees.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-15-2016 Today was pretty much just a travel day we rolled up the line in Socko fog this morning and spent the afternoon catching a little bit of table fare in the form of reds and lingcod. Our weather has been great until this afternoon and just in time for dinner we have bumpy jerky weather! Tomorrow morning we will be into the dock unloading a nice catch of yellowtail and some fine halibut! In completing another 5 day Heil charter. We would like to thank Ron for carrying on the tradition his dad started some 35+ years ago. And also thank all of you anglers for joining us and hanging in there on what was a long run to get into some good fishing! Today we will be taking out the let's talk hookup four-day charter! We unfortunately won't be able to make the long run we did this trip. We're going to have to get creative locally! Also on another side note cub you keep asking me about Wahoo fishing and no don't bring your gear for Wahoo water is getting cold everywhere. You need to go on a 7 to 10 day trip and of in the fall. Fresh and Fast! Recently we have been doing a lot of quick turnarounds to try and maximize fishing time for our clients. Recently we had a beautiful 200 lb Bluefin Tuna donated to the boat. Thanks to Sean and the people of Fishermans Processing we were able to have the Tuna filleted, packaged, and returned to the the boat in time for an early departure. Because of this our passengers were able to enjoy fresh Bluefin Tuna sushi on our way down the following trip. Thank YOU for going the extra mile for us so WE could go the extra mile for our customers!

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-17-2016 Hello Supreme Fans, We started off our day fishing looking for yellowtail. It didn't take long for the first one to come aboard, But it was short lived so we pulled the pick and made a 6 hour move which proved to be a good one! As the boat settled back on the anchor, We had several bent rods and the yellowtail charging the boat. The rest of the day we had steady yellowtail fishing until first call for dinner . During dinner we got the word that the yellowfin tuna were on the chew, and now we our on the hunt for them! The Supreme Team

Good evening. Oh boy!! We finally have some rough weather two weeks of awesome weather and it's taking a little bit of getting used to. I've only bounced back from the dash and banged the wall behind me twice so I'm pumped! I think I might have corrected my lower back issues too...not.

Anyhow, we fished for Yellowtail today and had a slow go of it for most of the day up until we had a nice go of it in the late afternoon. The fly-lined sardines were catching the majority of the 'tails but the yo-yo jigs worked a little bit as well. The "knotheads" (Mark's distant cousins) destroyed us for most of the day but during our little flurry in the later part of the day, they left us alone for the most part and we had some clean fishing. We caught a host of other species as well and when all was said and done, we had a respectable score and it was a fine way to end the day.

Dinner was awesome tonight. Our good friend Sam donated one of his tasty Bluefin--unbeknownst to him until it was served (Thanks, Sam)--and Chef Shawn seared that thing to perfection and served it with white rice and veggies and man, it was delicious. I don't know if I've ever had seared Bluefin like that before. It was out of this world and I wasn't the only one saying that. Excellent way to end the day, for sure.

So that is all. We're bouncing up the line as we speak and we'll be in the BFT zone in a couple of hours and we'll be giving it a half a day until we run out of time. We'll see what happens. The weather is up which usually is conducive to the Bluefins having their noses in the mud but crazier things have happened and we'll see if we can't connect. We'll report with you tomorrow and we'll see how this weather plays out.
