Deep Creek Lake Fishing Report

the rain was relentless on the 27th, still gave it a shot tho. caught a couple small perch, nothing too exciting. my rain gear worked well but man it was cold. just a reminder that not all days out fishing are winners! but hey, at least I got to relax by the water!

cloudy and cool on the 26th. I went solo, hit the water at sunrise. not much action but I got a nice 3 lb walleye by the rocks. used a crankbait. after that, just enjoyed the quiet, saw some geese and stuff. sometimes it’s nice just to be out there, ya know?

was at deep creek on the 23rd, kinda drizzly all day but still went out. managed a few hits on soft plastics but no real keepers. the wind picked up too, made it a bit tricky. still enjoyed the day with friends, just gotta be patient when the weather’s like that!

fished on the 19th, it was super overcast, felt a bit chilly. caught a couple of smaller trout, but nothing big. had a few bites but they wouldn't commit. used a small inline spinner on light tackle. still had a good time just soaking in the nature. lake was peaceful.

well, we planned for a chill day but the rain hit hard. still managed to get a few casts in, and I pulled a nice catfish out around 4 lbs before we decided to head in. had my trusty old spinner and it paid off, even in the downpour. just nice to get out, rain or not!
