Captain Mike Pritchard checked in this afternoon with an update from the Tribute out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. We are currently on a 1.5 day trip with 10 anglers. We have limits of Bluefin Tuna (20) up to 70 pounds. We also have some Yellowtail too. The Tribute is ONLINE at Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in with an audio update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. Today we had excellent offshore fishing for Yellowtail. We ended the day with 131 Yellowtail and 1 Bonito. A 25 pound bait rod was doing the trick today. We did have some surface iron action too. Please be prepared with for the Bluefin Tuna. You will need a 30 pound bait rod for the small fish. But you should also have a heavier outfit fish fishing flat fall jigs.

Capt. Matt and the boys are heading home with at least 6 bluefin over 100 pounds. Tomorrow’s trip is a definite go with a very light load. Most of these bluefin were landed on 40 lb flyline rigs. Mutu circle hooks from size 2-2/0 are recommended.

Captain Ryan checked in tonight to report in. We had 40 passengers on a private charter catch 136 yellowtail 174 calico bass. Very good action all day.

Good evening everyone, We spent the day traveling up the line through some snotty weather. However it did ease up after dinner. Hopefully we have the makings for a nice night of sleep tonight before our 530 am eta tomorrow morning. This was a tough trip but everyone kept their head up and persisted through and fished hard the entire time. Although we only had a few windows of biting fish we made the most out of it. There were many familiar faces on this charter and many new faces who decided to join us. We enjoyed having all of you out with us and look forward to seeing you out with us net year. February 14, 2025 de pere Fishing Report

The last few days we have been inshore mixing it up fishing Rockfish the first half of our .5 day trip and Calico bass the second half once the current starts to flow. The results have been amazing with limit style fishing of Calico bass in the 1-4 pound range. Most are 16-18" fish. I honestly haven't seen it this good in years. Through the fast action we didn't get many photos, but here is one of out Furuno DFF-3D filled with bass.
