December 4, 2022 daily press Fishing Report

We departed today on Don Fischbeck's annual 5-day charter, but without our charter head Don! Don we will miss you at the rail but we will bring some fish home for you. Don't be working too hard! Today the reports off shore are slow but there is some action at a few of the islands. So we loaded up with some good looking bait and are hoping for a possitive change for the albacore. Pedro is in the galley getting ready for dinner tonight which is going to be grilled tenderloin of beef with a red wine sauce. So we will update again tomorrow. Thanks for checking in. Ryan Bostian called in with this report on the San Diego, "I'm off the boat today, I just got a call from Captain Brian as of noon he had 13 Yellowtail on board. It's the same old story we are landing about 1/2 of the fish that are hooked due to the size and location of these fish. A lot of them are 25 lbs. and bigger, and most of them are located in shallow water.

"Make sure you bring your "A" Game if you come down to fly line some sardines with us. You'll need 2/O hooks, 25 or 30 lb test. a nice firm drag and be prepared to hook into some beautiful Yellowtail.

"We offer these 5:30 to 5:00 Trips everyday out of Seaforth Sportfishing. I'll call back later to give the final talley, but as of noon they had 13 Yellowtail on the deck and still plenty of fishing time left in the day. If you'd like to go out with us please make reservations at 619-224-3383."

8-1-2014

Good evening sports fans from the bridge of the Supreme. Today was yet another day off shore. We were busy all day long bendo on tuna mostly  jumping from bird school to bird school with quite a bit of fish on the machines too. Chapparo's group always brings it every year when it comes to putting in time at the rail, even when Chef Mike nearly puts us to sleep with his thick juicy cheese burgers and homemade fries for lunch. Nobody wimped and took a nap after that big plate of food, we were all right back at it keeping the rods bent. That really sums up the day, exceptional tuna fishing and a tasty half pound rosemary chicken dinner with rice, green beans and stuffing topped with whole gralic cloves followed by bannana foster for dessert. All and all great day, beautiful weather and we hope the weather mans forecast stays true for good weather for the next 2 days. Til tomorrow friends, good night to all, and to all a good night.

Polaris Supreme Report 07-25-2016 Hey everyone, Another beautiful day out here on the offshore waters of northern Baja. Today we searched for kelp patties, breeezers, and bird schools. We did very well finding kelp, however it just doesn't seem that the large volume of fish has moved in on them yet. Hopefully soon! Later in the afternoon we found a nice temp break that lead some exotic Dorado and Yellowtail, even a Sea Turtle popped got in on the action. The yellows were large and healthy, and the Dorado were a welcome sight and hopefully a good precursor to the warm water fish months ahead. Tomorrow we will be fishing for big yellowtail and maybe a seabass or two Wish us luck! Team Supreme
