 Good morning to you all from over here on the Polaris Supreme. As I write this I'm on watch at 2:40 in the am. We arrived from our 4 day "Let's Talk Hook Up" trip this morning and as soon as the RP was out of our way we off loaded a beautiful catch of yellowfin and 30-40 pound Bluefin. Jackpots went 96, 68, and 43 I think it was. Close enough. We did a super fast turn around. We smoked team galley that's for sure. Things at the bait receivers went well and we were back at it again yellowfinin it. It wasn't some crazy start like it had been lately but judging by some of the counts we were hearing we were very happy with what we got. We got spoiled these last few days with the power counts out here that when things got back to normal, which is still good, it seems slow. We ended up with a couple rounds of mostly the upper grade of yft and we're currently drifting in lovely sea conditions and we're ready to go at it again tomorrow.

 Tommy is back out here with us so in a way, it's like having a trip off. I'm not stuck here in the wheel house all day thinking of my next move. I spend lots of time down hanging with the customers and being a goof ball with Mark. I love running the boat but like I said, sometimes it's nice not to have to think so much out here. Hello Everyone, We are rolling down today, mainly a rigging day. We are trying to get all of our gear ready for the rest of the trip. From wire leaders to dropper loop rigs we are getting it all set up for the 7 days to come. Great food, great weather, great company. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Our timing is out of wack. Or the Bluefin's timing is. Yeah, that's it. The Bluefin's timing was out of wack today.

Yesterday it was completely an afternoon thing, so us arriving today at noon was going to be perfect. Unfortunately for us it was a morning thing today.

When we arrived to the grounds most everyone was finishing up there drifts. We found a few kelps and had some good fishing on some descent grade yellowtail's and one of

the kelps had some bluefin on it but it wasn't steady enough action on the tunas so we kept looking. We saw a few schools of it throughout the rest of the day but it wasn't

in a biting mode. We ended up getting a stop late for some and we're currently drifting and will be in the hot zone all day tomorrow. Hopefully it's an all day bite tomorrow.

The weather today was fantastic and we're expecting the same tomorrow. Everyone on board is having a blast and the leader for todays fishing goes to the youngster Vinny.

Every time we stopped the boat today he was hooked up and is making grandpa Brad very proud.

Capt Ryan checked in from the San Diego to report that they finished yesterday's trip with 111 Yellowtail. We got a lot on the yoyo iron as well as the surface iron and flylined baits. Make sure you bring all your Yellowtail gear to be prepared, a 40 lb rig, a 25 lb bait rod and a surface iron rod. We are that guy, that Lucky Lucky guy. Our morning started out as a 5 way jig strike just after the crack and we are still drifting with the same fish. Yellowfin 75%, Bluefin 25%. What a great day fishing and we have 6 hrs. to go. The weather is still beautiful.

Polaris Supreme returned October 14 under skipper Drew Henderson's hand. Drew took his 23 anglers on a seven-day adventure, returning to Fisherman's Landing, where he weighed the best of the catch. "We had a very good afternoon at the Bush," (San Benitos Islands) said Drew, "and we spent some time looking for kelps. Alijos Rocks gave us some really good yellowtail fishing in the dark. We had four or five fishing going. We also tried Guadalupe Island, where we got a few tuna but saw very little." "We had a couple hours of very good dropper loop yellowtail fishing," Drew wrote October 0, "on 25-35 pound fish in the morning. When that slowed we stayed busy with smaller grade tuna and the occasional mahi. We made a tour and got the anchor back down around lunchtime and had the same action but with an occasional larger model tuna being hooked. We hooked 10 and landed four 50 to 60-pounders. After dinner the few that still had the energy to fish all caught several more of those big yellows before we took off at 10:00. We're now spending the day traveling up the line and will be arriving to finish up the trip at Guadalupe Island for a day and a morning." The certified scales provided the winners. Dennis Sewell of Walnut creek won first place for a 68.2-pound tuna.

"It took a lot of line," remarked Dennis. "It fought for a half-hour." Sewell baited a sardine on a 2/0 Eagle Claw hook tied to 40-pound Seaguar fluorocarbon leader and 40-pound P-Line, and fished with an Accurate 870 reel and a six-foot rod of unknown origin.

Jake Hamstra of Tulare won second place for a 66.6-pound yellowfin, and Tom Kroes of Tipton won third place for a 60.2-pound tuna. David Richardson of Hacienda Heights stood in with the winners, with his 52.2-pound wahoo, a fish that took his trolled Catchy Tackle spinner head jig in pink and black.

Good morning everyone, Today we fished our final day of our Bogart 2 day trip. It was a day of grinding it out in the Bluefin Tuna grounds. There was a lot of tuna around it was just very finicky and we had trouble getting it to bite. We were able to land one tuna for the entire day. What saved our bacon was the yellowtail fishing. We fished yellows the second half of the day for great quality yellows! Biggest being 48lbs! We are in tomorrow early at 5 am, and out for seven! Wish us luck, Team supreme

Our first stop of the day was a bit humbling as we went 10 out of probably 50+ on the 50-110 pound Bluefin (anything under 40 on these fish was too lite).

We ended the trip with 14 Bluefin and 41 Yellowfin (18-60 pounds) in great weather for our 27 Angler’s, we go again tonight.
