Choctawhatchee Bay Fishing Report

today was foggy out there, couldn't see much but the fish were biting! caught 4 nice trout, all around 20in. used my spinning reel with live bait. it was a little spooky at first, but ended up being a fantastic morning on the water. so rewarding!

man, what a day! patchy rain again but it cleared up later. I went with the family this time and we caught a ton of sheepshead! used fiddler crabs, of course. the kids had a blast reelin 'em in. just the perfect day for some fishing fun!

hit the bay again last week, weather was overcast but not too bad. I got a few nice bites but mostly caught some catfish. even saw some dolphins swim by! ended up using my trusty old baitcaster and it worked fine. just good to be out on the water, ya know?

yesterday was a washout lol, heavy rain hit all morning but I still got out there. didn’t catch much, just a few small fish but the storm was wild! had my 7ft medium rod with me, didn’t really need it with how the weather turned out. better luck next time!

another epic day at choctawhatchee! despite the patchy rain, I managed to land a nice flounder right at sunrise. used a bass assassin lure, it was lit! even caught a couple small snapper too, perfect for dinner. just love the thrill of the chase! can’t wait for next trip!
