Hit up Cape Lookout early this mornin, got a late start tho, around 7 am or so. Overcast skies made it feel kinda cool but the fish were biting! Was throwing a live mullet on a 30lb rig and got a few nice reds, biggest was about 24 inches! We were using a 7ft medium action rod and it felt really solid. The wind wasn't too bad either, maybe 10 mph. Kept switching spots but the bite overall was good. My buddy caught a couple nice flounders too, so we had a great haul. Ended the day just as the sun was going down at 8:17. Can't wait to cook these up!
