Had a great wahoo next year! 7-10 day trips are the place to be ! 

"So far we've had very good fishing for our morning down at 134 miles." Mike went on, "So far we have a little over 54 Yellowfin, 15 or 18 Yellowtail and a handful of nice Dorado. Very, very nice weather. It looks like the weather is going to be nice the next few days.

4 bluefin(3 over 100lbs) 15 yellowtail. A few good shots at very large bluefin. The opportunity to catch a fish over 100lbs on a day trip is truly amazing. Don’t miss out.

19 yellowtail 88 red rockcod 35 rockfish 1 halibut. The daily game of hide and seek we play with winter yellowtail is something we are very familiar with on the San Diego. Today we busted them in an area they have used many times in the past. Sunday and Monday have been cancelled due to weather. Tuesday will be our next available trip. 619-224-3383 for reservations.

Good eveing friends. Checking in from the bridge in between dinner calls. We started the day shut down on on a few fish marks to see if we could get something to build up and hooked a couple of small grade yellowfin, but it just wasn't the right kind so it was time to pack up and go looking. Shortly after a couple released tuna, we got mobile we swung by a few tuna pens and they didn't really produce. A lot of small yellowfin and aquarium size yellowtail with a couple nicer 25 lb tuna to put a tag on. Too bad a couple hundred more of his buddies weren't tagging a long with him. Tommy got up with me this morning at about 0245 and got busy downloading some awesome water charts that way we could map out our playground for the day. Not much luck at the pens, so off to kelping we went before we started working some warm water edges. We just couldn't seem to find the big boomer that was loaded or catch that school that was out there roaming around. The ocean is a pretty big place when you're out there by yourself. You have your great days along with the slow ones and today it was just one of the slow ones. The guys really hung in there and fished hard though. Charter Master Joe Gigliotti got busy like the Italian he is and cranked out about a dozen handmade pizzas for lunch that were second to none! Every year that's one thing we really look forward to on his trip is the pizza's. He brings all of the ingredients with him and certainly rivals any pizza place that I've been to!

I do have to add, for all of you Mark "The Crow" Clark fans, we actually got him to not say one word all the way through dinner last night. He actually had to use a note pad to communicate! Quite the sight I must say, but today it was back to business as usual...Caw Caw Caw. Keeping the passengers laughing and giving his illegitiment father Kub and Uncle Joe Beck and hard time as always. So tommorrow we're gonna wrap up the trip in the bluefin grounds and I have a feeling it's gonna be game on. Time to get nasty and end with a bang. Drew has to sport the lucky 7-11 hat, Gunny will be in all blue as he always is when we get 'em and Mark, he'll still be talking. Time to shut out the lights and enjoy first watch. Rolling up! Today we had to leave the peaceful waters of the Island to start making our way north. The sea is rolling us around for the course we need to take. Overall it is a smooth ride so far. Looking like an on time arrival tomorrow morning in San Diego. Pictured here is Tim with a monster Yellowtail.

Yesterday was an absolutely fantastic day. We had great yellowtail fishing on 30-40 lb grade with the big ones pushing 45 lbs.

In the afternoon we came across a big school of smaller grade yellowfin and released most of them. Weather is still flat clam and gorgeous. We also got a handful of Dorado and saw a swordfish. Chef Tommy put out a great lunch of Alaskan King crab and lobster, and for dinner we were served a slow roasted pork loin with roasted macadamia plum sauce.

Very delicious. This morning we are on our way to fish big tuna, and our weather is still fantastic. Thanks for tuning in.

Today was a bust for us in the yellowtail grounds. We arrived pre daylight and Tommy stopped on some yellows so we fished it in the dark and fished it in the light for nothing. We looked around after that and all the key ingredients were there. Bait life, bird life, and schools of yellowtails were all around but it wouldn't go. Just a handful of bites. After giving it a few hours to get with it for not a whole lot we decided not to hang out and burn a day doing it. We're on the move to the wahoo grounds. We're ready for them too. We did the wahoo seminar and everyone spent the afternoon rigging up wire leaders for the toothy fish. We'll be where we'll be at or soon after daylight and we're hoping for some wahoo action. If not wahoo let's hope we can get some action on the tuna,pargo and yellowtails. Let's also hope for low wind velocity. It was getting pretty windy this afternoon and it's currently traveling faster down then we are.
