Bowstring Lake Fishing Report

fished on the 26th, finally a cloudy day but warm at 16°C! hit the lake late afternoon, gotta love those long sunsets! caught some nice perch on the drop shot rig, like 10 of them. nice calm winds, felt so chill, just soaking it all in! bowstring always delivers, can’t wait for the next trip!

went to bowstring on May 20, heavy rain again and cold at 6.9°C. we were all huddled under the canopy. it was a tough day! we still caught 5 panfish which was okay. needed the rain gear for sure! a little rough but we made some good memories out there, laughing about how soaked we got

so on the 16th it got heavy with rain again! i almost didn't want to go out but my friend convinced me. we braved the elements! caught 2 nice bass, but man did the wind bite! temp dropped to 8°C which made it pretty rough. still, we had some hot coffee and made it work

may 15 was wild! it poured like crazy the whole time we were out there. caught some rain and some nice trout. temp was 17°C but with that rain, it felt colder! had to wear my rain gear but managed a few good ones on spoons. even got soaked, but had a blast!

hit up bowstring on May 3rd, man it was chill but the sun peeked through! temp was around 11°C. caught 3 crappies and a bass! used a bobber setup with worms and they were biting really good. we stayed until sunset just enjoying the scenery. catch of the day was a 2 lb bass, felt good!
