Capt Mike Pritchard from the Tribute called in a final count for their 1.5 day charter, they had some great fishing today. We had limits of Yellowfin Tuna, a couple Skipjack and a couple Yellowtail. We have been seing a little bit of Bluefin above the border, but getting them to bite is another story. All in all it was a fun day on the water, the quality of the Yellowfin has been up into the mid 30 lb range. Covered a lot of water for 6 yellowtail. Saw both bluefin and yellowfin but we’re unable to connect. Getting the lay of the land and putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Back at it tomorrow.

Hello everyone We just wrapped up another successful Simpatico five day charter put on by Vernon Burke. A great group of anglers who know how to fish hard and have fun on their five days of fishing vacation! It was a great trip this five day, we committed to big fish as opposed to big numbers. Some nice bluefin in the 60-90 lb class, the fish that were caught were the biggest these gentlemen have ever caught in their lives. The triumphs and defeats were spread pretty evenly but everyone had their chance at several quality Blufin of a lifetime! Hi friends. We arrived back to the docks this morning at 06:30 hours and did our usual offloading procedures. Unloaded Tom and the boys, their gear, their beautiful load of Bluefin and Yellowtail, loaded groceries, cleaned the boat, cleaned the fish holds, refueled, changed oil/fuel filters, the girls made up the bunks with fresh linens and cleaned, freshwater the boat, vaccuum the upper deck/wheelhouse, clean/restock the galley, do the windows, load our new passengers and their gear, and take off for another adventure all within 4 hours of docking. We hustle, we know. We also managed a mass substitution of team members. Riddler, Jed, Shawn, and Dee headed for home and Drew, Matt, Schooler, and Ali relieved the gang from last trip.

With that, we headed to the bait recievers, loaded up on a decent load of sardines, and cleared the point by noon. After Schoolers famous bratwurst lunch, we knocked out our tackle seminar and hung out for a bit until we started fishing around 17:00 hours.

Our fishing was just OK. We managed to land a couple handfuls of Bluefin in the 30 lb. range before the sun settled below the horizon and nightfall ended our day. It was a very picky bite but the quality is what we're likin' the most. We're going to enjoy our traditional first night dinner of prime rib, idle downswell for a calm dinner seating/comfy nights sleep, and hit this again first thing tomorrow morning.

In closing, we're hopeful about the potential for tomorrow. Our weather is a bit sloppy but it's plenty fishable; just a tad bit wet and windy. Anyhow, we're here and we're looking forward to snappin' Bluefin tomorrow morning. Wish us luck.

Hello everyone, Today we spent the morning catching Yellowtail and Bluefin Tuna. The Yellows were a great grade 15-30 lbs. The trick was light line and small hooks. The Tuna were not the bigger grade we were targeting, so the search will continue. We will try a new area tomorrow. Wish us Luck, Team Supreme

Captain Mike Pritchard called in this morning with an update from the Tribute. So far off to a great start we have over 75 mixed fish. We have 30 Bluefin Tuna (20 to 45 pounds). We have 40 Yellowfin Tuna and a handful of Yellowtail. Extended 1.5 day trip departing at 5 PM on Friday night. We have seen some tuna up to 120 pounds caught in this zone.

  We had a very very good day today.  Stoked.  We got in the water we were looking for around nine this morning and it wasn't an hour before we found our first school.  We plunked away for a couple hours and when things slowed down, we got the call from our buddy Brian on the American Angler who was drifting a mile or so upswell of us and he was on the boomer school so we went over and gave him a hand.  About an hour later another boat showed up and we took a break.  I sent everyone in for lunch while myself and the crew got the deck under control and fired up another fish hold.  After lunch we went on the hunt again and found another deal, and then another but by that time most of the anglers were now spectators.  An hour before dark we found another good school and we may have had 5 or 6 people fishing all with a bent rod.  That's what we call a very very good day.

  We're off to Cedros Island.  We'll be there prior to daylight and we hope for some good yellowtail action for the next couple of days.

Hi friends. We departed early this afternoon on an open party two-day trip with a nice load of folks hoping to find themselves on some gamefish come Saturday. We have a lot of new folks on this trip and a lot of familiar faces joining us for the weekend, so we're pumped. Our gameplan is to run a little below the area we were fishing on Thursday as there were some schools of Bluefin seen and we'll try our luck at some kelp paddies as well. Anyhow, our weather is very pleasant and our passengers are in good spirits and we'll be fishing at the crack of dawn tomorrow morning, Hopefully, we'll awake to a big ole, fat school under the boat, ready to eat.
