The Apollo went out with 21 Anglers and they caught 41 Halibut and 4 White Seabass. The Halibut ran from 15 to 40 lbs.

We had a slow morning here at the Ridge, but the afternoon provided us with a good bite on the yellowtail up to 30 lbs. The weather is still absolutely beautiful. Those of you that know me, know I never eat breakfast, but I thought I would check it out as I am always reporting on the lunch and dinners. Well breakfast today was a stack of buttermilk pancakes, slab of honey cooked bacon and eggs cooked to your order. I still didn't eat, but the guys all said it was delicious. We have a couple more days here to fish and then we are in on Sunday and departing on South Bay Fish and Tackle's 6-day charter.
There is still one spot on that trip, and a couple on the Sept. 22 if you can get away.

There are still spots open on our 1.5 day leaving tomorrow! There are biting yellowfin and bluefin to be had! 

Hello everyone, Today we departed on our Hess 8 day charter. With a nice load of bait we are headed south. Our 8 day charter this year is a celebration of life and dedication to Shane Maynard who we lost September 13 and Bob Snyder who passed away may 30th both were the type of friend everyone should be: fun, honest, generous, and humble. Neither wanted to be the center of attention, but always the rock, dependable, reliable, solid. Both loved our trip as a highlight of the year. Part of them will always be on the Supreme. Sadly missed but never forgotten. Our love to Shelly and Diane. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Hello everyone We are wrapping up our Beck, Wagstaf and Emerson and Friends 5 day trip today. This trip the Joe Beck, Mal Wagstaf and Emerson and friends charters joined forces on this summer time five day trip. We had some great fishing on some great quality yellowtail. Most of the fish were well into the 25 lb class with some pushing 30lbs. The fish were up high and very surface oriented. They were being hooked on the fly line sardine and surface iron. It doesn't get much better than yellows boiling around the boat and chewing on the surface iron. We had very few small fish mixed in with these biting yellows, the vast majority were great quality fish. It was a great relief getting into these big biting fish after a few trying trips with tough conditions. The next leg of our trip was spent offshore and lead to fantastic kelp patty fishing. The kelps we found had great sized yellows on them school size tuna and also some trophy Dorado. We were able to top off our yellowtail count and mix it up with some Dorado and tuna as well. The water was blue, the fish were biting, and the weather was flat calm. Everything one would ask for during an offshore fishing day. We departed today on Eric Rogger's annual ultra light load (19 passengers) 5-day trip. Eric always puts together a great group of anglers and this year is no exception. We have a couple of father daughter, father son pairs. This year we have had a few of trips go out with multi generations fishing together and as well as having a great time fishing, they are building great memories together. So we are on the hunt for fish. Our weather is ok. Not flat calm, but it is ok. Tonight chef Jeff pleased everyone with a delicious rack of lamb, with a honey mustard glaze on the side. Good evening, friends. One more day. Just one more day of boatwork and we will be setting sail on our first voyage of the 2012 season. Today was a successful day as the revamped air conditioning unit was finally completed and she's running quite smooth if I must say so myself. Other than loading some dry groceries and other supplies, we did some more cleaning and organizing and I can honestly say that tomorrow everything will be clean and stowed away. For now, we're all enjoying our last couple of days with our families and living the "land life" but at the same time, we're all anxiously awaiting a shot at some of those gorgeous Bluefin tuna, Yellowtail and anything else that we can locate.

So that's all that is going on with us. Just putting the finishing touches on our boatwork and transforming the boat into a fishing machine. Thanks for checking in.
