amistad Fishing Report 2024

We got a little bit of something throughout the whole day. Everywhere we went we got yellowtail, but no real bug hits. Our morning bite had great quality but not as many as yesterday. Our weather is still good because of the island. Tomorrow we will be in open water on patties looking for dorado, tuna and yellowtail. Great fresh yellowtail and shrimp scampi for dinner. Late Post .... Sorry my Internet was dead today. Captain Mike Pritchard called in this morning with good fishing. He had 53 fish of the kelps by 9 AM.

Our very light load charter of 11 people had some fun finesse fishing. They were able to trick 18 bluefin 3 yellowfin 10 yellowtail and 1 bonito.

Happy Halloween! We fished for tuna today and had a tough time. They were all around the boat but didn't bite. We got a few in the 60-70 pound range. Signs look positive for tomorrow. The weather has really kicked up and it is rough, but at least the company and the food is great!

Capt. Mike Pritchard called in with this report for the Tribute. "We're still having very good fishing. We've caught 45 Yellowfin tuna, 10 Dorado & limits of Yellowtail. We're seeing very good signs of fish down here, a lot of Yellowtail.

"We do have a 1.5 Dy trip leaving tomorrow night. Right now we only have 9 people signed up. That trip is a definite go, so if you like fishing on a light load call Seaforth Landing at 619-224-3383."

Passing up the small numbers of big Bluefin, targeting big variety! We departed today on our annual Hess 7 day charter. We are pointed south targeting Wahoo, Yellowtail, and Yellowfin tuna! The weather is great and the prime rib is Delicious. Will report tomorrow, Team Supreme

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in tonight with an update from The San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we caught 40 yellowtail. We had a couple good shots at them today. Yes you need a passport and sorry I won't tell you where we caught them unless I'm related to you.

This trip will depart on Saturday night the 5th and fish Sunday the 6th of April. The weather is supposed to be getting much better and shouldn't be a factor on the trip. Ling cod season is open and we will be looking for seabass as well. Please call Sea Landing for reservations at (805) 564-6753.
