American Lake Fishing Report

overcast on may 23rd, headed out early morning. had a great time with my daughter! caught a mix of trout and crappie using small spoons. nothing huge but they were tasty. perfect day out and the wind was only a minor hassle. can’t wait to go again!

so may 16th was supposed to be chill but patchy rain was annoying. fished for a few hours but only landed a couple sunfish. used some light tackle which was fun! wind was super low so that was nice. even if it was slow, just hangin out by the water is always good.

may 14th had me battling some strong winds! at one point i thought my line was gonna snap. managed to land a 6 lb catfish with my catfish rod and stink bait. took me forever to reel it in but it was a rush! definitely worth the struggle.

rainy day on may 13th but i still hit the water for a few hours. brought my old faithful rod and some jigs. hooked into 4 bass but they were all kinda small, like 1-2 lbs. it’s cool tho, just nice to be out there even when the skies are gray.

may 10th was a wet one! downpour while i was out there. i brought my rain gear thankfully. caught 3 nice rainbows using powerbait along the shore. wind was pickin up but it was worth it. love those moments, just me and the fish waitin for a bite
