Captain Ryan Bostian checked in with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in Mission Bay, CA. We had 18 passengers today catch 12 Bluefin Tuna (60 to 80 pounds). We landed 1/2 the fish we hooked today. We also caught 3 Yellowtail. We recommend the flat-fall jig with a two-speed reel loaded with spectra and a short 60 to 80 pound fluorocarbon leader. You have also be prepared with a 25 to 35 pound live bat outfit for the kelps.

Schools of bluefin where a little harder to come by yesterday fortunately we still where able to put together a day. 85 yellowtail 6-15 pounds 6 dorado and 3 bluefin.

The Voyager is starting its winter time mexican coast fishing on the 10th of december!! We will be doing a 1.5 day down to colnett. Today our 18 anglers bagged up 60 red rockcod 3 lingcod limits of Boccaccio as well as limits of rockfish. After some morning Santa Ana winds, the weather was absolutely gorgeous.

I'm back. After taking the last trip off and spending some quality time with the fam I showed up this morning to meet the boat at 7:00 and was greeted by an impressive catch by the Chapparo group. We did the turn around thing, got some bait and we were in the fishing grounds by 3:00 this afternoon. It sounded like we missed most of the action while we were dockside. It was mostly a morning bite. We had a few stops this afternoon for over a fish per angler so we can't complain about fishing on a departure day. We're currently drifting in nice weather and we'll be starting off here in the morning.
