Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-26-2019 Good afternoon everyone I hope you guys had a great day like we did! Our weather was absolutely slick flat calm all day. I am afraid we're going to have to pay for this later on though. The usual rigging eating sleeping went on throughout the whole day here. Captain Mike Pritchard called in this morning at 9:27 AM with the update from the Tribute out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. We are off to a great start. Very good Bluefin Tuna fishing. We have 15 Bluefin Tuna and 1 Yellowfin Tuna (about 40 pounds). We have a very light load of only 9 anglers. We need 3 more Bluefin for out limit. Good evening everyone, Today we had a great day of yellowtail fishing. It was by no means a slam dunk. However our persistence paid off. The fish never seemed to settle into a certain part of the water column. The bottom dropper loop, mid water flyline with sliding sinker, and strait fly line with no weight were all working at different times. We were able to get everyone some yellows on the boat. All the yellowtail were excellent quality. 18-30 lbs, cant complain about the size! Tomorrow we are going after yellowfin tuna. Wish us luck! Team supreme

Andrew Viola called in with an update from the Pacifica out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA.

We have Yellowtail limits on the boat, most of them around the 10 pound range and a fair amount in the 15 pound range. We also have 3 Yellowfin Tuna and 1 Dorado.

We have an Overnight trip leaving tonight at 10pm and a 1.5 day trip leaving on Tuesday at 9pm with open spots.

We had a nice afternoon hooking fish landing was okay lot of tackle failures
and losses to the sharks! But we still managed to put a nice afternoon
together. It's absolutely a beautiful grade of fish! Most of the anglers
hooked for five of these fish! We are having to fish the 30 and 40 lb. test
to get a bite here. Not ideal for getting the larger Tuna away from the
sharks. Hopefully they bite heaver line tomorrow!
 

Weather kept us new shore today, so we targeted Vermillion Rockfish. Worked out just fine.!

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-13-2016 We had another fun day today! Today was a little different though most of the fun was catching fish not traveling. We had very good yellowtail fishing all day, we started off right at the crack of dawn with flurry fishing which progressed into a wide-open bite for several hours and then flurry fishing again! After a midday low it all started up again through the rest of the day. We were catching fish mostly on bait. Fly lighting was number one with dropper loop fishing coming in a close second. We didn't have a lot of jig fish but that probably was contributed to the fact that we didn't have anyone fishing jigs most of the time. Weather is excellent and were hoping to do this again tomorrow. Thanks for tuning in the Polaris Supreme Team!
