Captain Ryan Bostian called in with an update from “The San Diego” out of Seaforth Sportfishing. Today Cameron is running the boat. The big Bluefin have been missing for awhile but they have been found. We have one 119 pound Bluefin Tuna with 2 hanging. We are still fishing Yellowtail but we need to be prepared for the Bluefin.

For the Yellowtail we recommend 25 pound live bait rod.

For big Bluefin 50 or 60 pound bait rod. Use a 2o circle hook and if they are deep try a rubber band and a sinker to get it down. Also a Shimano flat fall has been working. Fish a Talica 12 or 16. Fill the reel up with spectra 65# or 80#. Then connect to a short 80 fluroucarborn leader.

We run every day but please be ready for fish anywhere from 5 pounds to 150 pounds. CURRENT SCHEDULE We are online and have open party trips everyday this week. This photo is from the about 2 weeks ago. Ryan will update us with current photos from today later this afternoon.

NEW SEAFORTH on half day trips took in 7 Yellowtail, 123 Baracuda, 3 Halibut along with some Bass, Sculpin & Rockfish. Twilight trips still getting some giant Squids. Wow, absolutely phenomenal fishing on the wahoo today. We fished daybreak to dark in two main spots. Wahoo everywhere we went. Lures, bombs, bait and trolling all worked. The anglers had a fantastic time in nice calm weather. We will be checking out a couple spots tomorrow and have another full day to fish the wahoo. Today Jeff prepared wahoo enchiladas for lunch and he absolutely nailed it. They were sooo good. Wish us luck for tomorrow. Thanks, Tommy and crew

~~Sep. 7 "Feeling Better"
 I can't say I had the highest of hopes for this morning.  It seems like up and down this whole coast in the mornings has no current.  As you know, no current = no fish.  So we bailed on our yellowtail spot after 8:00 am and went kelping.  I believe we found our first winner ohhh around 10:00 or so.  It was good for 20 dorado.  Another 1/2 hour later we found another that was good for another 20.  Another 1/2 hour later... and so on and so on.  We had a good day of kelping.  Most of our passengers on board have never been in a dorado bite before today.  It was jaw dropping for them.  Lots of fun.  We're feeling better. 

 Now we're going to catch our yellows.  We're going to head into the coast for tomorrow and try and get a bunch of those.  See?  I write short reports on good days.  Hopefully I keep them short.
     

Took off today on a 5-day and we are hearing that the albacore took off in the morning but then died, but the prospects for yellowtail are great. So we will look for the yellowtail first thing in the morning. Our weather is absolutely gorgeous. For dinner we dined on a boneless Cornish Game hen with a summer favorite, fresh zucchini, and a side of fettuccini. Very tasty. Thanks for checking in. Tommy and Crew
