Captain Ryan Bostian called in today after 2 PM with an update from the San Diego. Today is my day off and Cameron is running the boat. We are up to 80 Yellowtail. We are having light loads even though the fishing has been great. Most of the fish medium grade with fish up to 25 pounds too!

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in this evening with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. Today we fished the Coronado Islands and we our 51 anglers caught 78 California Yellowtail and 46 California Barracuda. We had a couple good shots today.

A very slow pick turned into full speed chaos. 230 yellowfin 6 bluefin (40-60lbs).

 There really isn't much to report today.. We didn't fish.  We traveled all day.  We chose to fish later last night in the windless lee of Cedros catching yellows, tuna, and seabass instead of going offshore in the wind/swell and most likely catching nothing or small tuna.  I think we made the right choice.  We had a bit of a bumpy ride last night, or so I'm told.  As usual I slept through it.  We were almost to the coast when I woke up for my watch, so things were a lot smoother.  So today we slept in and had a late breakfast of biscuits and gravy.  The crew got our scrub on while the customers read, hung out and played poker.  After lunch, on cue, most of the boat took a nice nap.  Now dinner is at it's end and my watch is almost over and I'm ready for bed.

 We'll be arriving tomorrow at 6:00 in the morning.  We should have a fairly quick turn around and we'll be back out again, this time for 4.  I'll be taking her out and I'm not sure where we'll go yet.  Fishing right now is at that stage where things need to and will change very soon.  We just hope we're in the right place when they do.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-20-2016 As I'm writing this right now the boat looks like a ghost ship. The boys are down for the count, after our first day of phenomenal Wahoo fishing and another day of great Wahoo fishing tuna fishing and yellowtail fishing into the dark they are some whipped puppies. In about 59 minutes we are going to try to do it all over again. I'm really curious to see how many are up as early as they were the first day! Thanks for tuning in we will try to get you some more reports for the upcoming day. Don't count on them coming out to quick we've been swamped! And yes it is still great weather! Five days into the Castillo six-day trip. There's been great signs of yellowfin tuna in the 18 to 22 pound range and bluefin tuna from 18 to 75 pounds. We've done okay at scratching at all species yesterday was our best day so far. We been having trouble updating our website due to computer issues and we been really really busy! Here's a few photos of what we been up to! Signs are good out here and if you get the right school in the morning you can end up drifting all day. The yellowfin tuna are biting mostly lighter line 20 and 25 pound test has been the best. They really love those Colt snipers or any thing like them. Guys using those are smoking them. This bluefin has been biting into the night on the flat falls and live bait sinker rig. Alec you need to go have Vernon pick up two cases of squid for night time tuna fishing. Also make sure they all have some of those Colt snipers and a good 20 or 25 pound rig for the long drifts. Busy busy busy got to go. The Polaris supreme crew
