Trip Report 08.11.2015

 Good evening all, and what a good evening it is. What a day! Days like today are that much more rewarding after a tough first 2 days of a trip.  We woke up on the anchor to nice calm weather a right away started to pick away at some premium yellows. It didn't take long to for things to get pretty chaotic. That lasted most of the morning almost til lunch. I can't say that for a solid 6 hours we didn't have at least 2 going. Now that's fishing! 16-25lbs! No complaints there.  Eventually that slowed down and it was time to head out and go look at some new territory. We found that same giant breezer from yesterday and they just didn't want to play ball. finally kicked over the side for a sundowner and low and behold, it was game time again! Ended up with another nice evening whack for almost 200 fish for the day. We're all wiped out from a bust day so it's time to go enjoy a nice seafood pasta dinner and get some zzzz's. check back in tomorrow.

Good Evening, Our last day of fishing started off early and i mean 0230 early! with the kites out and everyone soaking baits and dropping jigs down hoping for that early morning tuna bite , a few fish were hooked but won their freedom, Once the sun came up we went into search mode again, We found the wahoo and tuna under bird schools very willing to take our baits with the wahoo began charging the boat in packs, with only a few hours to fish before heading for the cape, We put our fair share of them on the boat before calling it a trip. We are now headed for Cabo! Gunny and Supreme Team.

Hello again anglers. We have another trip that has some openings. This is a 2 day trip, fishing Sept 1&2. Trip departs Should be a great trip. For more info call Harold at 818-480-8779.

This is a 2 day trip that fishes September 27-28 (departing the night of the 26th).This outing is limited to 16 anglers.

The unusual part of this trip is half the anglers will be fly fishers. If you conventional fish, this means you get the stern to yourself as fly rodders like the sideways drift of the boat and stay on the windward side. Fly rodders are the first in on the slide but based on past averages, conventional will still out-fish us 5 to 1.

The trip is 670.00 and includes fishing permit, bunk and food. Drinks, crew tip and fish cleaning is extra.

Captain Mike Pritchard called in with a FINAL Wrapup! We found a kelp on the way back in with a bonus 25 yellowtail. We did find catch 30 Yellowfin Tuna under a school of Dolphin. Hi friends. Well, the morning bait/Yellowtail bite didn't quite pan out this morning so we decided to get our butts offshore and try to connect with some open water species. We managed to find a bunch of kelps and we had some action on some Yellowtails that way but we never located a school of Bluefin that wanted to bite. We did see a few schools of BFT as did the other boats in the area but they were reluctant to bite for any of us. Hopefully, tomorrow is a new day and these things will get with the program.

We'll be giving this a half a day or so tomorrow to see if we can't do some damage on the BFT tomorrow before we have to book it for home. Our weather was absolutely flat calm all day with a heavy overcast but the sea and wind conditions were stellar. We've got a little rain washing the boat as of right now (23:42 hours) and a few brave souls are downstairs trying for some squid. I'd better go see what they're up to.
