Polaris Supreme Trip Update 09-12-2019 Fun morning fishing for yellowtail today everybody got to pull on a couple and it was nice quality. Again our weather is beautiful and everybody had a great day. Were off traveling up the line for home the rest of the day and probably going to make a shortstop tomorrow for a little fun table fare! Add a little color to our fish. The Polaris supreme crew!

I'm sure like most of you at home, every morning lately I woke up in anticipation to read Richie's next fishing report and was let down to see nothing written. I was hoping he was just too busy on those shorter trips to write one for me but it's leaked into long range now too. So I guess your stuck with me.

We left today on a 6 day trip. Our bait choices were between healthy but giant sardine or not so healthy normal size sardine. We chose some of both. We'll have to see how it turns out but I am sure we will have some die off. Hopefully just the weak ones. Time will tell.

The weather out in the fishing grounds sounds windy and rough. We'll be crossing through an area tomorrow sometime around 10 in the morning and depending on the weather we'll either work the area or fish on through it on a down hill course to other more fishable grounds. One of the boats had a wahoo through these waters a couple days ago so we'll be trolling wire.

Scratched away for 16 wahoo. Weather is excellent. Didn't get much tuna until the end. We had fun kite fishing on frozen flying fish into the dark. We re-baited and have a good supply of bait tonight and have hopes of a better day in the morning.

We got 15 wahoo this morning. Our weather is outstanding. Just really great. Conditions are still good. We plan to start our fishing this afternoon around 4pm. And it will probably go on until 4 am.

Capt Mike Pritchard called in from the Tribute on Day 2 of a Friends of Rollo/Wicked Tuna Trip, today we found a nice grade of Yellowtail, we caught 24 from 12 to 25 pounds and we got some nice grade Bluefin Tuna this morning. Hi friends. I've changed my name and occupation. I am now a 007 agent and my name is Pierce Bronzin'. The bronzing was just dandy today. Justin Thompson, get you're tanning oil ready. It was sick hot today and sunny like Cher liked it. Anyhow, the fishing was sporadic. We had a few stops in the morning on those twenty-five to forty pound yellowfin, went through a long lull, and then a little after lunch we got on a kelp that was once again, aquarium-style fishing. All you wanted on football yellowfin with a couple of standouts and some really nice flatheads too. On yesterday's aquarium-style stop, we opened up our siphon valves to the deck tanks and looked over the side of the hull to see a foamer of yellowfin, yellowtail, and dorado on our dead sardines that accumulate in the bottom of our deck wells. Awesome. Today, we did some lift-polin' which was fun too. Just letting you know that when I say aquarium-style, I mean aquarium-style. Hundreds of fish swimming in front of your eyes at any time is a sight to see and we're thankful that we've seen it twice in as many days. Sweet.

With that, we took only a few boxes full of tuna and dorado, released all the three pound yellowtail, and then we kept on with our search for trophies. From this point until trips end, will be hunting strictly trophies as far as our tuna agenda goes. Let's hope that they show up and we can get them located and do some damage. We'll get the camera out for those, for sure.

For tomorrow, we'll be doing some yellowtail fishing and we'll take it from there. Wish us luck and we'll chat with you tomorrow.

Again we have beautiful weather. Today we had our fishing tackle seminar and just kept traveling. Dinner was lobster and fillet, and some really exquisite sushi and sashimi for appetizers.

Good times were had by all on the Skipper Dang annual private charter. Light loads all week.
