We had some incredible action today! 

The Bluefin Tuna we up high and dry in the morning Foaming around, boiling up, incredible life. 

We managed to get a hit in the morning for some 40-60 LB Tuna.

Later in the day the schools transitioned from boiling Tuna to Breezing and shining Tuna. Harder to see but by the end of the day our resilient anglers were able  to see the breezers with their own eyes and make the perfect cast. 

Lots of potential out here. 

We are looking forward to our next trip leaving Thursday.

Team Supreme

The annual Burgesons private charter went the distance today. They were rewarded with limits of dorado and 13 yellowfin tuna.

Mike Pritchard called in with this report for the Tribute. "We found a kelp paddy right at grey light this morning. So far we have about 35 Yellowtail and 2 Dorado so far. We'll keep you posted as the day progresses."

Captain Jodie Morgan called in from the Apollo to let us know they have 70 Bluefin Tuna (up to 50 pounds) as of 10:25 AM. The Apollo is one the first day of a two day trip. The Apollo is current booked solid with charters but we do sometimes help out charter masters with getting a few people. Mike Pritchard called in with this report for the Tribute. "We're on the 1st day of a 3.5 day trip sponsored by Okuma, Soft Steel & Seeker. So far the fishing has been very good. We have 36 Bluefin for the morning, some Rockfish to go with it even token Cow Cod.

"We have a few spots open on a 5.5 Day trip departing on October 28th. That is an Ultra Limited Load, only 12 anglers & we're looking for 2 more to go on that trip. If you are interested call Seaforth Landing at 619-224-3383.

Today we went out with 27 anglers and caught 30 yellowtail. These yellows have been a challenge to hook but well worth the work. The grade of this fish is as good as anybody can remember in the local waters. 25-30 pounders have become the norm rather than the exception. The wise angler would bring a 25 or 30 lb. bait rod a 40 or 50 lb. yo-yo rod as well as your surface iron rod with fresh 40 lb. Today we caught fish on all three techniques.

We had a nice afternoon hooking fish landing was okay lot of tackle failures
and losses to the sharks! But we still managed to put a nice afternoon
together. It's absolutely a beautiful grade of fish! Most of the anglers
hooked for five of these fish! We are having to fish the 30 and 40 lb. test
to get a bite here. Not ideal for getting the larger Tuna away from the
sharks. Hopefully they bite heaver line tomorrow!
