Stopped on schools of bluefin all day today but we’re unable to get one to stick. We did however land this 140 pound beauty. Back out tomorrow.

We were on and around bluefin tuna all day. We landed two 75 pounders and a 135. Light loads and perfect weather. Hope your here on bite day.

With the weather forecast looking good and a favorable moon phase. We have decided to switch back to offshore fishing. These trips will be limited to 44 pass and do not require passports. Come prepared with a 25 lb bait rod, a 40 or 50 lb bait rod and a 60 or 80 lb rod to fish a flat fall.

TIP FROM THE CREW : Flatfalls get bit better on smaller spools, use the smallest reel you feel comfortable with. A Talica 10 or 12 2 speed or something similar is perfect. We will fish offshore until we feel there is a better option.

Reed Fiori checked in tonight with an audio update for The San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing. Today we had 24 anglers catch 52 Yellowtail and 20 Bonito. We had plenty of opportunities today. The Yellows are currently down deep. We are catching them with heavy YoYo Jigs. Bee sure to use a large monofilament top-shot. We are also getting some fish on the dropper loop too. The goal at the beginning of this week was to find a new area of fish. Last weekend we started to see signs of our area drying up so on Monday we decided to go looking for new fish. While our fish count did not show success (1 yellowtail) I was very happy with the day because of all the water we were able to eliminate. On Tuesday we went out with 17 anglers and put what we learned on Monday to good use. Our fish count for the day was 20 dorado and 48 yellowtail. The dorado we caught were 10-20 pounders and the yellows were 5-15 pounders. Wednesday and Thursday we sat at the dock due to bad weather. Fridays fish count for 30 anglers was 42 yellowtail. Capt. Ray took over on Saturday and came back to the dock with 27 yellowtail. The next 4 days will determine what we do with our schedule. If the offshore fish are still available in November we will stick with our 5:30-7:00 offshore schedule. If the offshore fish go away we will switch over to 7:00 - 4:00 local fishing. I will keep everybody posted.

Here we go again. We are off for another 5 days on Paul Hess's annual charter from Napa. We are anticipating good weather and great fishing. Wish us luck!

Hello Everyone, Today spent the morning catching some great premium Yellowtail with some Bluefin mixed in. The second half of the day was spent searching for larger grade Bluefin Tuna. We eventually found an area of larger fish. Ranging in size from 50-130lbs. We managed to land 2 in the 60 lb class. Nice to see that there are still larger ones around.
