Today was kind of a disappointing day. We woke up catching yellowtail but it quickly stopped biting after daylight. We trolled up the place for several strikes on wahoo but the catching was slim. The ratio of hooked to land is never good with wahoo but this morning it was especially bad. We lost 3 marauders today. That's about what you lose when you have a 100 fish day on these things and we did not. Anyways, after that we weren't getting strikes anymore so we kept her rolling to a couple of spots I've been real excited about trying for the last couple of weeks and it really bummed me out. No wahoo, no tuna, not even any dorado. A few yellows was all. So we ran back up to this mornings honey hole and had a strike where the odds were in our favor. I'm not sure if we lost a fish. 8 lucky anglers caught a nice wahoo. We trolled it up till dark for nothing else. We're going to give it one more chance tomorrow looking in a different wahoo, dorado zone and if it stinks we're going to finish up the trip in the closer to home zone. We're keeping an eye on the storm so there's nothing to worry about ladies. I'll bring you hubbies home safe and sound.

The Endeavor out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing returned from an Overnight trip with 18 passengers.

~~Trip Update 08.12.2015

 Good evening friends.  Today was our final day to get some lines in the water. After last night, we weren't sure what kind of time we were going to have to fish. It was a tiny bit bumpy to say the least.  Well, it wouldn't be a long range trip without a little bit of choppy seas, at least it wasn't til the last night of the trip. All and all, we had great weather during all of of our fishing time.  We did however make it to where we wanted to be about 1030 am and kicked the anchor over the side to use up hat bit we had left.  It actually turned out to be a pretty bust late morning. Not long after we dropped the pick, the yellows came up showing their presence right away. If you wanted your fix on tails for the trip, this morning was the time.  It was still tthat great 16-22 lb grade that we saw down south. Not at all a great wway to end a pretty darn good trip.   It got to be time to point her toward San Diego and get everyone home to see their families. Time to break down the tackle, scrub the boat and finish the trip with all of the fishing stories that have happened over the last 5 days.

Today we departed on Bob Vance's annual 5-day charter. It's always great to see Bob and his group. He is one of our longest running charters, and while there are always a couple new faces, there a quite a few that have been with Bob since the beginning. We spent the day traveling, preparing our gear, and dined on a monstrous grilled steak and potato for dinner. We are underway and anxious to get our lines in the water. Check in tomorrow. Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-22-2016 Today fared out to be a very productive day for our efforts. From shortly after sunrise clear til the end of the day, we kept a pretty consistent bite going. There was a couple lulls here and there, but all and all, there wasn't much down time to lose interest. The grade of fish was more than acceptable, staying pretty consistent at he 15-20 lb range. Not much more to ask for usually always having a least a couple going. With that type of fishing, there were very few fish lost due to tangles and so forth. All and all there was no complaints. Tonight we head out to see what tomorrow brings. We'll check back in tomorrow and until then, this is the Supreme Crew out. Tight lines and tails up, Team Supreme

 Hello October and hello you all and welcome back to the Polaris Supreme.  We were off for a week if you didn't notice.  The crew, we all did our own thing except for Tuesday and Wednesday we all got together for a little maintenance.  And now we're back out here. We all came back to the boat talking about how great we cook wahoo.  "I cooked it this way, you should try it". "Oh no, you should try it my way".  Basically I think wahoo is just good.  We left for 2 days this morning and we're pumped.  We had a report of a floating kelp pattie that was producing good days for many boats this morning so we thought we'd give it a try too.  Thankfully it was all rigged up with a flag and a reflector and stuff because the sun was getting low by the time we made it out there and I'm not sure we would have found it without it.  Anyways like most rigged kelps there was a school with it and it bit pretty well  for us for about an hour and then it got dark.  The fish were tuna.  A bit on the smaller side but that's what's around and that's what everyone's been catching so we were cool with it too.

 Tomorrow we're hoping to get down and crazy with some dorado.  We heard of a zone with some floating kelp with schools of those colorful fish and we're going to try and find some.

 We have a new PA system on board and that thing pumps.  Holy Toledo can that thing put out some power.  I think I could take that thing to Petco Park and announce a Padre game with it.  Just some more raw power for the Polaris Supreme.
        

Hello everyone, Today we are supremely sore from pulling on fish. The morning was spent catching a handful of Wahoo, some Grouper, and a bunch of Yellowfin Tuna. When the afternoon rolled around we went looking for Dorado, and found them. It was a excellent grade, and everyone caught as much as they wanted. Very good fishing. We will be targeting Wahoo and Grouper tomorrow. Wish us Luck, Team Supreme
