Mike Pritchard called in to wrap of the fishing day for the Tribute. "All-in-all a pretty good fishing day. We started off with Bluefin. We ended up catching 21 Bluefin and went on to fish some kelps later in the day. On the kelps we caught 54 Yellowtail, 4 Dorado and 5 Skipjack. The weather has been very nice. We just finished up our day around 5:00 o'clock.

"We'll be out on another 1.5 Day trip tonight. There is still room on Sunday night's 1.5 trip, just give Seaforth Sportfishing a call at 619-224-3383.

The fish were a little off today. We hit schools all day and just never got the right one to bite. Scott released a 185 lb. and a 100 pounder. Al released a 115 lb., 170 lb., and a 190 lb. tuna. Roger released a 120 lb. and kept a 220 lb. tuna. Tom released a 190 pounder. And George released a 100 lb., a 115 lb., and a 140 pounder. Weather is still beautiful. Lunch was pastrami and swiss on rye and a clam shell pasta. Dinner New York steaks. Hors d'oeuvres were sashimi and sushi. Hopefully all this fish we saw today bites a little better tomorrow.

Captain Mike Pritchard called in this morning from the Tribute. We are fishing out West today. We are catching Yellowfin Tuna and Bluefin Tuna. We have 90 mixed fish on the boat at 8:30 AM. We also have a good score on the Yellowtail. They are biting the 30 pound pretty job. We got a few on the Jig. We do have spots open on Sunday's trip. Polaris Supreme Trip Report 07-20-2016 Yesterday did not turn out like we had hoped we spent the better part of the day looking for kelp's with no luck. We just did not have the right track traveling down. We ended up scratching a few nice yellows but overall besides the weather, today was disappointing fishing wise. This morning isn't starting off to great we rounded the corner to our destination and watched the water dropped 2°. Were sitting here in the gray light hoping that the yellowtail didn't notice it! We do have a fallback plan I certainly hope we don't have to use it! The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Drew and the boys are doing it again. Wide open fishing on both Bluefin and Yellowfin in beautiful weather. They have been stopped most of the morning. Have a great day. Tommy

Capt Ryan Bostain of the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing with a Coronado Islands update, 25 anglers and caught 111 Yellowtail from 10 to 30 pounds. The best fishing we have had this year, so get your bring a 25 pound live bait rod and some 4/0 hooks and some sliding egg sinkers for the mackeral. We got some on flylined anchovies and some fish bit the surface iron. Bring all your Yellowtail gear and come on down, we run the trips every day. Hi friends. We dropped off Eric Rogger and friends to a dock full of curious bystanders and passengers ready to depart on various trips on other boats and the Ron Heil group looked on as well, ready to load the boat and get underway. Why wouldn't they? With the catch we unloaded, you'd have to be a fool not to go fishing right now. A fool, I say. Anyways, we completed all of our turnaround chores, loaded groceries, loaded passengers, and bid the docks farewell. Our bait loading was about as much fun as trying to hit a nail on the head but instead hitting your finger. Our bait looks okay for now but we're closely monitoring the situation. Nothing anybody can do about it. From the guys on the bait boat busting their butt to get bait to all the boats that demand, the guys on the bait receivers, or us, it is what it is.

Anyhow, Chef Shawn kicked out the prime rib, artichoke, and baked potatoes to the peeps and everyone is hitting the rack for tomorrow's wake-up call. We'll be gettin' nasty with it at 0545 hours. Real nasty. Wish us luck.
