Capt Mike Pritchard called in from the Tribute on Day 2 of a Friends of Rollo/Wicked Tuna Trip, today we found a nice grade of Yellowtail, we caught 24 from 12 to 25 pounds and we got some nice grade Bluefin Tuna this morning. 14 yellowfin tuna and 5 bluefin tuna. Once again, unbelievable amount of tuna in our zone. Most of the fish are strung out on tiny chovies making them very difficult to hook. A dedicated flyliner with 25 lb has a chance at a yellowfin. A dedicated flatfall or sinker rig fisherman with 50 lb has a chance at a bluefin.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in this morning at 10:25 with an update from the Coronado Islands. The Yo Yo Jig is the ticket. There are two school of fish out here today and we are catching the bigger models. We have 35 fish maybe up to 40 by now. Captain Ryan Bostian checked in this evening from the San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA. Today we had 36 anglers catch 61 Yellowtail and 69 Barracuda. We had excellent action today.

Started where we have been catching Vermillions to find they were not in the mood. Moved to an undisclosed location and found very willing XL size Lingcod. Managed 2 to the boat and lost a few more. Good fun!!!

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 09-11-2019 Great day fishing today! Glad we made the move. Big variety day for us today, but the grouper stole the show. We caught plenty of yellowfin tuna yellowtail and then a variety pack of Wahoo grouper etc. we have at least two grouper in the 60 to 70 pound range. Killing it on the weather still and off to spend tomorrow looking for yellowtail. Loving Life:) The Polaris supreme crew!

Conditions at the islands are improving very fast. We saw a couple of schools of yellowtail today and landed one. Excellent red fishing on some well rested stones.
