So here's the deal. We had a good finisher today. We started bright and early with coffee and stuff and then got on a school of those 30-40 plus pounders. It didn't stick longer then for us to get a couple handfuls. Then we had more coffee and stuff and then we had another school of those bf's that treated us the same. Then Shawn was ready to serve lunch but before Tommy could give the announcement we got on a school of 15-20 pounders that bit well for us. We didn't hang out long. We caught a couple rounds worth and then gave the school to our friends on another boat. Then we searched for another school of those bigguns but never found it before we were out of time. We did find another school of the 15-20's and finished our time on those. They were biting good. It was a lot of fun.

After that the crew enjoyed a boat scrub while the passengers enjoyed naps, movies, champagne, wine, cocktails, soda pop, and some relaxation with friends. A fantastic trip with a beautiful day on the weather side of things too. Sunny with not much wind. Nice. Thanks Robin and friends. Until next time. P.S. Its in range of our 2 dayer.

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 11-13-13

 

Today was a travel/fishing day which means it was slow. We knew we needed another travel day to get where we need to be so we fished yesterday and traveled today as opposed to fishing today and traveling yesterday. We tried really hard though to find something to catch but it was not to be. It wasn't until around snack time before we found any action at all but it wasn't much. We caught 1 big dorado and 1 not so big dorado, lost a couple of wahoo and caught some mostly let them go to grow sized tuna. We'll be in the promise grounds well before daylight and hopefully that's when the fish start biting tomorrow. The weather came down significantly from yesterday and it's currently grease as I write this.

 

P.S. The Mystery writer will be back tomorrow, he needed a little rest.

Hello Everyone, We are loaded up and on our way. A nice load of bait and good weather, cannot ask for much more. Today is mainly a mainly getting situated day, and tomorrow will be hot and heavy rigging. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Captain Ryan Bostian called in tonight with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego. Today we had a light load of 12 anglers. We decided to move offshore and we had a very good day. We ended up with 60 Yellowtail (LIMITS). We also saw a spot of Bluefin Tuna. But we did not hook one.

If you want to come out with us bring a 25 to 30 pound bait rod. Also bring 40, 50, or 60 pound outfit for Bluefin Tuna. It was about this time last year that we started seeing those nice big Bluefin Tuna.

Capt Mike Pritchard from the Tribute called in an early morning report on behalf of Jay Kinsley making his maiden voyage and they are off to a great start. They have over 50 mixed tuna by 8:30am on board and some hanging and was very busy and could not talk long. Polaris Supreme Trip Update 09-08-2019 What a sweet ride down we've had beautiful weather! Made good speed and had a nice early arrival this morning into the fishing grounds. Fishing started off tough. Actually it was brutal! You would catch and release 30 skipjack just to catch one keeper yellowfin tuna. We would catch a Wahoo here and there to spice things up but it just wasn't working. Finally after 10 hours of get in all jacked up, AKA skipjack, Things started going our way. It was like somebody flipped a switch! For the next four hours we had a very consistent bite on quality yellowfin tuna ,right into the dark. Our weather stayed great all day and were going to try our luck here again tomorrow. The Polaris Supreme Crew!
