Trip Report 08.11.2015

 Good evening all, and what a good evening it is. What a day! Days like today are that much more rewarding after a tough first 2 days of a trip.  We woke up on the anchor to nice calm weather a right away started to pick away at some premium yellows. It didn't take long to for things to get pretty chaotic. That lasted most of the morning almost til lunch. I can't say that for a solid 6 hours we didn't have at least 2 going. Now that's fishing! 16-25lbs! No complaints there.  Eventually that slowed down and it was time to head out and go look at some new territory. We found that same giant breezer from yesterday and they just didn't want to play ball. finally kicked over the side for a sundowner and low and behold, it was game time again! Ended up with another nice evening whack for almost 200 fish for the day. We're all wiped out from a bust day so it's time to go enjoy a nice seafood pasta dinner and get some zzzz's. check back in tomorrow.

EXCELLENT ROCKCOD FISHING NOW!!! Our first trip with 24 anglers bagged 223 Rockfish and 17 Lingcod. APOLLO'S January/February Rock Cod trips are now online and ready to be booked! The Costello Gang returned with a great catch this morning and we provisioned and departed with out a hitch with Tom chaparro's annual 6 day limited trip. Our bait was excellent and we put it right to use on a fantastic afternoon of tuna fishing.It was Realy Good! We are now idling up swell for dinner in good weather and plan on doing more of the same tomorrow.The Polaris Supreme Crew.

 

Weather kept us new shore today, so we targeted Vermillion Rockfish. Worked out just fine.!

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 11-24-2019 We arrived early afternoon to the fishing grounds. We had a good afternoon of fishing on tuna from 12 to 35 pounds. Most of the fish were down toward the lower end of the spectrum. We didn't see much sign of anything else but the tuna throughout the afternoon but were still going to stay another day here to get fixed up on them. Late in the day we decided to pull the anchor and go troll around about 40 minutes before dark but picked up a old seiner anchor that weighed about 500 pounds. That ended those plans! It took us about three hours to get rid of it and fix everything it broke! Quite the tussle. Good weather still a little squally and rainy at times but good seas! See you tomorrow.
