SUMMERTIME CONDITIONS ! Hey guys. Two days ago the water at the Coronado Islands was hovering right around 60 degrees and the fishing was slow. Conditions started improving rapidly yesterday afternoon and subsequently so did the fishing. Today we went out with 43 anglers and captured 25 calico bass 58 barracuda and full Mexican limits of sandbass. While we did not manage to catch any yellowtail today, we did however enjoy steady action from start to finish. I took a photo of our temp gauge for all you yellowtail hunters out there. With water temperatures like this. It won't be long before the yellows get back on the bite. Be here the day it happens, not the day after !

20 pass. 33 yellowtail plenty of reds and rockfish. Yo yo lures were the top producers however we did catch a few on flyline sardines and surface iron.

151 yellowfin 7 skipjack. Nice weather, steady action, and lots of laughs. Please remember that fishing is supposed to be fun. Egos are best left at the dock.

19 yellowtail 88 red rockcod 35 rockfish 1 halibut. The daily game of hide and seek we play with winter yellowtail is something we are very familiar with on the San Diego. Today we busted them in an area they have used many times in the past. Sunday and Monday have been cancelled due to weather. Tuesday will be our next available trip. 619-224-3383 for reservations.

Captain Mike Pritchard called in this afternoon to let us know that The Tribute is running an overnight trip departing tomorrow night. We will be fishing the Coronado Islands for Yellowtail. ~~Good afternoon folks. Checking in hear from the bridge as we're departing on Dan Ranta's 1st Annual 5 day Charter. Dan took over for our long time passenger and charter master extraordinaire Mr. Eric Rogger. All of us here on the Supreme will certainly miss having him out on the water and being one of our favorite charter masters for over 30 years! Thanks so much Mr. Rogger! Dan joined us out here for his first time on the boat last year with a few of his fishing buddies and wasted no time taking over as charter head and filled the boat with an awesome group of anglers. We still have some veteran passengers still out with us like Tania Warner and her dad John as well as a lot new faces that we look forward to taking out fishing.
 We have Captain Tommy back at the helm so Drew can go spend a much needed 5 days with Kristin and his baby girl Sydney. And I can certainly not go without mentioning the we finally have back with us our Captain Tommie "Gunny" Miles. He's been missed, but now he's doing great, his health back in order and he says thanks to all of you that have wished him the best while he was recovering on his short hiatus.
 So here we go, great group, excellent weather heading south and ready for the games to begin! Tight lines and wind at our back! Check back in tomorrow.

Capt Mike Pritchard from the Tribute called in a trip wrap up for their 1.5 day trip, we had really good fishing and ended with a nice kelp to help us up out Yelowtail and Yellowfin Tuna counts for the trip. Our final count for the trip was 103 Yellowfin Tuna, 101 Yellowtail and 10 Bluefin Tuna and a couple Dorado, we are fishing US waters so we got to keep our Bluefin. The Yellowfin are a really nice grade in the mid 20 lb range and the bluefin were in the mid to upper 40 lb range. We have another overnight trip leaving tomorrow night, hope to see you out there.
