Good evening to all readers. We're fishing the second annual Bogart Construction short range trip. We departed this evening around four, got some bait and are currently serving our beautiful cuts of the prime rib as I write this. We'll fish all day tomorrow and head it back for home on yet another turn around. It sounds like it was a down day today in the offshore grounds with not so good of weather so we're glad we were at the dock today. Tomorrows forecast shows the wind backing off and with that hopefully the fish float. We'll see.

Good morning Everyone, Our annual Heil charter has come, the longest running charter on Polaris Supreme. We are very happy top welcome aboard this group of anglers. Ron Heil has been keeping his father's charter going for years with a good core group of anglers. We are exited to have these guys aboard as well as some new faces. Spirits are high, and we're all very hopeful for the next 5 days. Team Supreme

Fishing today was sporadic. It had it's moments, but overall we just scratched with a variety of Albacore, Bluefin, Yellowfin, Yellowtail and Dorado. It was a pretty even mix of everything. Our weather continues to be excellent. So we will try again tomorrow and hope for more of the same, but a little bit better.

It's time for dinner. Chicken Cordon Blu is on the menu for tonight.

Capt Mike Pitchard called in an on the water report for their overnight trip, fishing has been very goos. We have about 60 mixed fish, with a really good Yellowtail bite now and a few nice ones in the mix. We also have a handful of Yellowfin and Bluefin Tuna, we are starting to run short on time but still fishing. Hopefully we can get a few more before we are done, we are leaving on a 1.5 day trip tonight. Hope everyone is having a great 4th of July.

Captain Mike Pritchard called in this morning at 9:27 AM with the update from the Tribute out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. We are off to a great start. Very good Bluefin Tuna fishing. We have 15 Bluefin Tuna and 1 Yellowfin Tuna (about 40 pounds). We have a very light load of only 9 anglers. We need 3 more Bluefin for out limit. We have a few first timers who got there first Bluefin Tuna We have a trip departing tonight. Call Seaforth at (619) 224-3383 to book a spot on the Tribute.

Nov. 12

Not too much to report today, but we got our lines in the water, and ended up with a few varieties of fish chilling in the refrigerated sea water. We ended up at sort of a one-stop-shop in that we caught the three species that we were targeting all on the anchor. That is not typical fishing, down this way. We usually find the fish one species at a time. Half the boat caught a wahoo today so that's not a bad start and we caught quite a few 15-30 pound yellowtails too with a handfull of call them 25-40 pound tuna as well. Weather continues to be nice, with a bit of wind that popped up later on in the day. It was great to finally use some of that tackle today, that we've spent so much time rigging over the past few days. Now we can get down to the serious business of (hopefully) catching some creatures from the deep blue sea to bring home, and share with our families at the dinner table.All is well aboard the Polaris Supreme, and it's first call for our evening meal consisting of pork chops, apple sauce, and assorted goodies.                                              Clint Cambell started our morning hooking and landing a 70 pound yellowfin tuna on a PL 68, a few other tuna were hooked and lost due to the arrival of the tax man but don't worry that only put a very small dent into our morning plan, we went into search mode but this time we had plan B going for us, yummy flyers on the troll and we started to put a few nice grade tuna aboard with Paul Hess putting a 115 pounder on deck! We ended up scratching up a nice day of tuna and wahoo.
