bear lake Fishing Report 2025

    A little bit of a slower day out here for us.
    
      We started our morning off all alone where we saw a few big schools late afternoon yesterday figuring we'd for sure be in them.  Un touched schools didn't make them bite any better.  We fished and caught a few in the same zoneish that we've been fishing before looking elsewhere for something fresh.  We ended right back where we'd been and saw the same thing.  Big schools that don't bite well.  We managed a few more of the 60-80 pound grade and a few handfuls of the 25-40 pound grade and some more 18-25 pound yellowfin before it got dark on us.  The weather all day was nice and we're headed back in now with fillet mignon coming up shortly. I hope I made this trip sound fun because that's what it was.  We were drifting 75 percent of the time with a chance any second for a bite. Thanks to Paul and the gang.  We always have fun together.

Hello everyone Today we had a nice day of fishing. We were able to get a nice morning hit on these Bluefin Tuna. Today they were not only 20-40lbers. We hooked some larger models in the 80 lb range. We did not land them due to long battles on 20-25 lb test. At least we know they are here and ready to catch! We will be trying here tomorrow for one more day before the wind picks up. Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-03-2016 Today we started our first full day of fishing on our annual Hampton four day. We started the morning fishing the beach in search of Yellowtail. Conditions were tough and we opted to head off shore and search the warm blue waters for a nice kelp or a biting school of tuna. We managed to find some nice kelps, with little on them. We managed to some playground grade Yellows and Dorado, but fortunately for them they were all thrown back so we may be able to catch them next year. However we did catch a few adults among the babies, they were a welcome addition to our frigid RSW fish hold. Over all a tough day with fish few and far between. We are making a move south tonight to put us in position for tuna and yellowtail fishing tomorrow morning. Wish us luck, The Supreme Team

POLARIS SUPREME TRIP REPORT 09-14-2020 Great weather today again. We had good Wahoo and Grouper fishing. Got to go Dorado biting. Good Day on the Water. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Polaris Supreme Update 11-14-2013

Whales, porpoise, turtles, seals, frigate birds, boobie birds, marlin, and of course yellowfin tuna. All were sighted in the last 24 hours from the deck of the Polaris Supreme. We found the fish today, or they found us. Either way, it wasn't as productive day as it could have been. Not a barn-burner, but it showed us what potential tomorrow might have. Exceptionally calm and balmy weather continues. The term "grease calm" comes to mind. Our weather is forecast to remain like this for at least another day, and the only drawback is there is not enough wind to utilize our kites.

The crew is too busy to update you, so this is your mystery guest writer once again. The crew is re-rigging us in anticipation of another round with a nice grade of tuna. Actually, dinner tonight will be fresh seared Ahi served with all the the accompanying goodies. One of the rewards for landing a few of the right kind.

Cocktails are currently being consumed as fish stories are being told down in the main salon. Time to relax, and get ready for tomorrow's adventure. Life is good ... talk to you tomorrow...

We started off with a good morning bite where Jeff Hoover pull in a 78 lb. bluefin. We also caught some smaller grade bluefin and a nice grade of yellowfin. However it was short lived. By 9am we were off scratching for small, medium and nice grade albacore for the rest of the day. For this trip we scratched away every day and caught enough fish for everyone to take home. Our eta for tomorrow will be 7:30 am and then Drew will take out the next one which is the 2nd annual Let's Talk Hook-up Charter. Weather has been excellent. Well it's time to go down for dinner. Tonight will be surf and turf, steak and lobster. Thanks for checking in.

Mike Pritchard called in from the Tribute with this report. "We are finishing off the 1st day of our 2.5 Day Steve Seaver charter. We had a good day with only 18 passengers. We landed limits of Yellowtail with 28 Bluefin tuna. We got 21 of them in the last 10/15 minutes. It looks like the weather will be nicer tomorrow. It was a little breezy today.
