July 18
 Slow day today. We didn't catch much fish due to the lack of current everywhere. We started in yesterdays honey hole for us. We caught one. Then we took a tour. Our next stop was the mainland. We caught one. No current. We then took another tour pretty much for the rest of the day. We did get 1st and 2nd place of the jackpot handled during one of our stops. A couple 35-40 pounders. We caught a few yellows here and there through out the day but nothing special.

What was special was our weather today. Flat calm, no wind, and sunny and beautiful. We looked at a lot of this Island today and I thought it was lovely. I don't think it would have been so enjoyable had we not had two full fish holds already. But we did so it was. Now we're headed up and it couldn't be nicer. Hopefully that storm out there won't effect our ride tomorrow. I want this out here forever.
 

Capt Ryan Bostain checked in from the San Diego the 3/4 day boat out Seaforth Sportfishing, we just finished up our second trip of the year. And boy was it a good one, we had Mexican limits of 110 Yellowtail for our 22 anglers. Most fish were caught on the yoyo jig, we did get some on the surface irio but you had to wotk hard for the surface bite. We started off with a good morning bite where Jeff Hoover pull in a 78 lb. bluefin. We also caught some smaller grade bluefin and a nice grade of yellowfin. However it was short lived. By 9am we were off scratching for small, medium and nice grade albacore for the rest of the day. For this trip we scratched away every day and caught enough fish for everyone to take home. Our eta for tomorrow will be 7:30 am and then Drew will take out the next one which is the 2nd annual Let's Talk Hook-up Charter. Weather has been excellent. Well it's time to go down for dinner. Tonight will be surf and turf, steak and lobster. Thanks for checking in.

Fish report for the first week of October. Anybody who has spent any amount of time in San Diego knows that October is a great month to fish and this October has been no exception. Limit style yellowtail fishing has been the norm rather than the exception this week. On Saturday we stopped on a kelp first thing in the morning and caught 250 yellows and left them biting. On days like Saturday when we catch a lot of fish in the morning our 35 degree refrigerated fish hold is really nice. Along with the great yellowtail fishing we have also had a sprinkling of 20 lb. dorado 25 lb. bluefin tuna and 20 lb. yellowfin tuna in the mix. All in all I would say we are having great fishing with no end in sight. Reservations are very important this time of year so if you plan to come fishing call 619-224-3383.

August 7
    I'm pretty sure I have written a report very similar to this one not too long ago but here we go anyways.  We had a good morning and a good evening today.  It was the in between part that stunk for us.  It was a long afternoon but you always forget about the afternoon when you're pulling on fish into dark.  I don't even remember anymore.  Anyways we ended up with just shy of a hundred tuna for the day and we're going to drift all night and start where we end up in the morning.  We will be drifting because it is fantastic weather and we don't need to put out the sea anchor or idle up and down swell all night because it's good drifting.

 

Traveling today in great weather. Lunch is sweet and sour pork with Hawaiian fried rice. Dinner is shrimp Diablo. You're not getting the breakfast report because I usually skip breakfast. We will be fishing again tomorrow morning. Come on cows!
