Polaris Supreme Trip Report 11-11-16 Today we are going to start out our report by telling Carla Studley that her husband Tom Studley would like to tell her he loves her and has been happy to have been married to her for so many wonderful years. Happy Anniversary Carla and Tom! After writing that last sentence I just found out that Mark and Eve on board are having an anniversary today! Congratulations to you two also! Well on to fishing. I don't know where they came from I'm glad they did we just had a great day Wahoo fishing! What a great place to celebrate your anniversary for Mark and Eve catching Wahoo on board the Polaris supreme! At least you get the benefit at home Carla with Wahoo tacos Wahoo Almond Dean and what ever delicious dish you can come up with. We have great weather and are having a fantastic time out here we are hoping the Wahoo are going to stick around inside here like they were today, that would be fantastic to do this two days in a row! The San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego,CA checked in with us today:

33 yellowtail 170 assorted rockfish. Yo-yo jigs, dropper loops and surface irons all produced.

Capt Mike Pritchard called in for the Tribute, absolutely excellent Bluefin Tuna fishing again today. We ended the day with 136 Bluefin Tuna, 36 Yellowtail and 82 giant Bonito, we had very success with the kite today. We are going to continue with our trips as long as these fish are around, we can let it go! We are changing some of our weekend trips and now will be headed out to either Cortez Banks or Tanner Banks where ever the Bluefin are. Weather kept us new shore today, so we targeted Vermillion Rockfish. Worked out just fine.!

Today's numbers were better. We had a lot more fish, just not a real good size to them. The albacore and bluefin are around 12 lbs. with a few bigger. The yellowfin are bigger, around 25-30 lbs. Weather is still good. Thanks for checking in. Tommy and crew

A DRIFT WE Will NEVER FORGET ! Today we went out with 6 passengers who ignored yesterday’s fish count and understand that fishing is more about spending time in nature than harvesting meat. After our 3 hour drift everyone onboard had either landed or fought and released a fish of a lifetime. Final tally was 7 bluefin, 6@ 110-150 and 1@65 lbs. please come prepared with a 25 lb rod a a 40 lb rod and a 50-80 lb rod. Today’s best setup was a 4oz. torpedo sinker rubber banded above a 2/0 circle hook on 50-80 lb.

Great surface action today, hooked 8 with limited time, ending with 5 nice Tuna.
