osoyoos lake Fishing Report 2024

You know today I was thinking what a great job I have! Of course the weather is flat calm, that helps. No we didn't kick the heck out of a bunch of fish, but I did get to fish all day and was not stuck in traffic once. We did land 18 school Tuna and 5 nice yellowtail, on kelp's, Dolphin, blind jig strikes and other assorted methods. We saw close to a hundred pie plate size baby turtles, along with fin-back whales, blue whales, and big albatross birds.The day was finished with good news from our buddy boat who had some incredible yellowtail fishing in which we will be waking up to bright and early tomorrow morning! Aug 18

Today was a good day. We got into the yellowtail mid morning and it was game on till lunch time. The grade wasn't the best but it was good enough. 12 up to 22 pounds and all in between. We had the passengers save some tags for the bigguns though the common grounds looked dead so we traveled to new grounds and connected near the end of the day. Everyone had a few more shots at them before we had them wind um up so we could put ourselves in position to be at the bluefin grounds before daylight.

The weather today was great. Cold but windless and on a boat thats all we care about. No wind no sea. Shawn through out a kick but appetizer spread and we're preparing to eat a seared ahi dinner. Can't wait. Gotta go.

Mama Bear- Little Bear still has both feet planted on the boat and is doing great.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in this evening with an update from the San Diego, CA. Today we had 22 anglers catch 5 yellowfin tuna. 4 of our tuna are 75 pounders. Please bring a 20 lb. bait Rod and size 2 hooks as well as a 50 lb bait Rod with some 3/0 circle hooks. We will fish for whatever we see. It may be 12-90 lb. yellowfin or it may be 60-200 lb. bluefin. Very weird year !

Putting away the Bluefin gear for now. Our sights are set on warm water fish next. Possibly Wahoo or Yellowtail! Glassy seas and great weather here traveling down on our Beck / Emerson / Wagstaff 7 day! We have new shorter trips on line for the weekend after we get back departing Friday July 20 and Sunday the 22nd. Will report tomorrow, Team Supreme

Weather report was a bit off for our first trip of 2021. Spent the day on the anchor in manageable depths. Plenty of fish fillet for all. No sign of yellowtail, yet !

 Once again, we left today, Friday to spend our weekend on the sea.  For 1.5 days.  Friday-Sunday.  We have bait, and we're headed out.  One big tank of chovy, and 2 tanks of dine.  We're hoping to put them to good use.  We're headed out.  I feel OK about leaving my daught for her first dress up Halloween.  I got to see her in her lady bug costume and try and trick or treat it up at my wifes work.  So here we go.
       
 

Good weather today as we traveling down south looking for wahoo, tuna and tails. Not much to report on the catching but that should change shortly.

POLARIS SUPREME TRIP REPORT 09-17-2020 It was a fair bite on the good grade tuna in the morning. We caught the only angler who didn't have a Wahoo one. And then went scouting. We where rewarded with a Boomer school of Dorado. We fished it for 45 minuets, Releasing most all fish. We kept only 14. Yellowtail tomorrow. See you then. The Polaris Supreme Crew!
