Hello Supreme fans. We have finally hit our stride and started fishing.Unfortunately it happened to be right in the midst of some extremely tough fishing. Our first trip of the year was an Open party three day trip. We spent the three day searching the ocean for biting tuna as well as some inshore action. The tuna fishing was really slow but full of lots of spots of fish, and they were BIG. Bluefin well into the 150 lb class were around but not biting. We chipped away at some inshore fish and were able to put together a nice catch of quality Reds and Lingcod from the bottom. However the star of the show was hands down the jackpot fish. A 130lb Bluefin Tuna, a hard earned fish that ended in victory! These fish were big and did not make it easy to hook them or land them. Their size, abrasive teeth, and unwillingness to bite created quite the challenge.We did managed to hook 5 fish and only landed one. We are out on a two day after Independence day. Wish us Luck! We are putting the Tuna to sleep here aboard the Polaris Supreme! Great grade again 60-110 lb fish. Big fish paired nicely with great weather. We are loving it!

We departed today on Lon Mikkleson's annual, limited load 10-day charter. We loaded up some great looking bait while Pedro prepared a delicious pork tenderloin for lunch. The weather is slick, flat calm and the our anglers and crew both are excited about the upcoming prospects. The passengers are preparing their gear and for dinner Pedro put out a yummy lobster and rack of lamb dinner. We will keep you posted.

Not much action in the morning for us. We were seeing very little and not catching much and had little time to do it so we searched in new grounds. We saw a couple of real good schools that wouldn't cooperate only managing to hook and land 1. We had a kelp for some 18-25 pound yellows so maybe we'll see more of that in the near future. It was a tasty looking zone. I wish we would've had more time to look in it but we were too far from home so we had to head it for the barn. Great weather today and we're forecasting more of the same in the foreseeable future. We'll be a little later to the dock with an eta of about 9:00 am and Tommy will be handling the next trip of 5 days.

Thanks for the amazing response to the OPEN Shimano Charters we scheduled for the Channel Islands this spring. The response was so positive that I spoke with the folks at Shimano and they agreed to put another trip on line. This one will be set for fishing on March 13. That would be departing at 9pm on the night of the 12th. This trip will be just like the others. Shimano will provide a bunch of outfits for fishing butterfly and lucanus systems. There will be give aways of tackle and goodies as well. Please email me if you would like to join us on this trip.

Never found the lucky kelp today. Still scratched up a mixed bag in beautiful weather. 18 dorado 27 yellowtail 29 skipjack.

Hard to beat the day we had yesterday, but we did.

We improved the already outstanding trip we have going with a taste of wahoo. Found a little honey hole and caught a fair amount on several drifts. When that tried up a few hours later we anchored up and had good tuna fishing from three until dark. The tuna were 25-40 lbs with some in the 70 lb. class. We'll stay the night and will fish half day tomorrow.

Hello Everyone, Today we had a nice day of Yellowtail fishing. We were able to pick at Yellowtail for the first half of the day until around lunch time. The majority of the Yellowtail came on the YoYo jig. After that we were only able to catch Bonito and Barracuda. We have beautiful weather down here and will be targeting Yellowfin Tuna and Yellowtail tomorrow. Wish us luck, Team Supreme
