today`s Fishing Report 2025

Andrew Viola called in with an update from the 1-day trip from the Pacifica out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA.

We have Yellowtail limits (5 per person) on the boat already this afternoon with most of them between 8-12 pounds.  We are still looking for more and we’ll see if we can get some Dorado or some Tuna on the boat next.

We have an Overnight trip leaving on Sunday at 10pm and a 1.5 day trip leaving on Tuesday at 9pm with open spots.

Today's trip in fantastic weather has produced trophy lingcod. We dropper loop with a mackerel seems to be doing the job. We will call back with an update later. Our next trip departs on Friday. Don't miss the action.

The San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego,CA checked in with us today:

30 yellowtail. Yellowtail or bust was the name of the game. Enough fish around to get a big hit just waiting on the stars to align. All techniques are producing, we recommend fishing your strength.

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 10-02-2018 Today was absolutely gorgeous weather! We had good current, the water temperature, the water color was fantastic. Yeah I know you see it coming! We only caught 15 yellowtail for the day. Great sign and great conditions the fish just were not there. It looks like we're going to get a great day of traveling tomorrow. We're finished up and heading for home! Tomorrow will be a breakdown cleanup get ready for the dock day on Thursday. The guys have a beautiful catch to unload. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Hello Everyone Today fishing was slow. We spent the day offshore looking around for any warm water fish that wanted to play. Unfortunately we only were able to land a few small Yellowfin Tuna. On the bright side we have superstar pizza chef Joe Gigliotti aboard and today. He decided to grace us with his pizza talent. He whipped up more pizzas than you could shake a stick at with so many topping combinations that it would make the Poppa Johns R and D department have to work overtime, weekends, and holidays to even have a chance of keeping up. It truly seemed like the endless lunch, always finding room for one more slice, and another and another. Fishing was slow but the pizzas were coming in HOT and often! We are going to run an open party limited load trip on Sunday March 2nd. The trip will cost $130 and will depart at 9pm on the night of the 1st. If you are interested in going we will be looking for squid and targeting seabass in the morning before trying to fill our limits with tasty rockfish. Mike Pritchard called in with this report for the Tribute. "We're just rollin' out of our 2nd stop. We picked up 25 Bluefin & we still have a couple of fish hang'n. We also caught a half dozen Skipjack, 6 or 7 Dorado here for the morning. We are seeing a very, very good sign of tuna. I know there are a couple guys here who have done very well. We're talking over 100 fish for the morning, with some Yellowfin tuna as well. We'll keep you posted."

Wednesday, July 24th, 2013

Good evening, friends. The Yellowtail grounds were kind to us today. We had a rough go of it this morning but right after lunch time, we got on a spot of really nice fish that bit for us for a 5 hours and we made a fun day of it. The grade of fish was especially nice as most were in the 22-28 lb. class with a few of those premium 'tails thrown in. Flylined Sardines were the hot ticket but the jigs worked now and then too. All in all, it was a great day of Yellowtail fishing and we are pumped. To top it off, the weather was great and those who decided to get down with some sun, the bronzing was real nice.

So that is all. We are now in position to hopefully snag a few of those White Seabass fish and we're hoping to get lucky. Chef Shawn is keeping everyone fat and happy and Paul's group is having a ball. It's a real treat to catch fish with this group, as they had a blast today. We'll give this seabass thing a try for a few hours and if they don't bite, we'll be headed to the tuna grounds again. If they bite, we'll sit tight. Take care, wish us luck, we love you.
