solomons island Fishing Report 2025

Today we went out with 16 anglers. Fish count for the day was 1 yellowtail 50 red rockcod 80 rockfish and 1 lingcod.

Sep. 18

Well that wasn't very fun. Lame is what I would call it. We fished the exact same as we did yesterday but only in reverse. We started where we finished yesterday and finished where we started and yes, it was lame. Not much fish and a whole lot of wind. You could of surfed some of the waves we saw yesterday. Needless to say we got out of there and headed up to where the weather is nice and there is a plethora of fish. We hope. It's the afternoon of the 19th and we're almost to the grounds. We'll check back tonight.

Hello everyone, Today we started fishing around 11am. Lots of Yellowtail in the area, the majority of which are very small. However we did manage to pick off some nice 18-30 lbers with some quality Grouper mixed in as well. We are camping out tonight and will try it in the morning before we start looking around. Hello everyone, Today we spent the day searching for yellowtail along the baja coast. It was very tough. However we did indeed find yellowtail, they were just very difficult to hook. Lots of bird life and scattered fish along the coast even big spots of fish splashing around. In the midst of all this life er only managed to put a handful on the boat. Tough day, hopefully we can get on some tuna tomorrow offshore. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

Hey everybody the voyager has another 1 day shallow water mexican coast trip set up for this saturday. We will be keeping everything under 200 feet! The bass fishing has been very fun in the kelp, along with shallow water reds! And all the other critters to go with them! The live squid has been abundant so we hope to make that to fish with for the trip. The trip is limited load to 16 passengers so act quickly!!! We are already up to 11 as of this morning!! Sept. 21

Well we never saw a bluefin today. Or a dorado for that matter. We were ready for them too. I had my lucky bluefin cap on, Gunny had his bluefin pants on and Mark is fat. Nope. Never saw a one. We did once again see some yellowfin tuna of all sizes. One kelp we looked at had an incredable school on it. We just sat there and watched the tuna boil around in fury. It was really cool. We just watched because for one, we already had our limits and for two they were the smaller grade. We called it a little earlier then we planned on due to the weather. Oh man. It was really nice weather in the morning. Then suddenly after lunch time it got really windy out and we started to really roll around alot. I'm currently standing with my legs as far spread apart as I can get them just to be able to type this report and I am misspelling every other werd.

We are headed to the barn now and we get 2 nights in to spend with our wives, fiances, girlfriends, friends, pets and family depending on which crew member we're talking about. We come back out Tuesday night on a 1.5 day trip. This was definately a memorable trip and I mean that in a good way even when it was bad it was good. Cool group and myself and the crew are glad we got to spend this 8 day with them. Thank you.

We departed today on a private charter with 21 passengers. We hear the weather is coming down so we are anxious to get to the fishing grounds. We should be there tomorrow morning.
